Magnet Releasing has delayed Toby Wilkins' Splinter from January 27th to an April 14th DVD and Blu-ray release. Check out the DVD cover art inside. A young couple has retreated to the wilderness for a romantic camping weekend-but the trip quickly spirals into a nightmare when they are car-jacked by an escaped convict and his girlfriend. Thrown together by chance, no one can imagine the terrifying horror that awaits the two couples at a remote and isolated gas station.

It sucks that this was delayed. But since they have time I wish they would change the ugly artwork.

This movie is awesome, you can watch it ON DEMAND if your cable has the IO button on the remote for like 5 bucks they also have it in HD.

The original cover with the spikey hand is way better. The movie is good but this new cover blows.

No wonder when I went to the video store Tuesday they did'nt have it. That really sucks that it does'nt come out till April!

I don't understand the point in delaying this release, especially a low budget flick with no huge stars. What will the delay really accomplish? The movie is ready to release on DVD, why wait? It'll just delay a return on their investment to the film.

Could imagine that someone trained in the art of graphic design could pull off a decent cover..

This movie was really fun, but that cover makes it look terrible.

I watched this flick in October on VOD. I have to say, it was a pretty damn good, especially considering the budget. It is worth watching, at least once. Don't pay attention to the shite cover.
