It's pretty shocking that it has taken this long for a sequel to get a move on, but finally Columbia Pictures is gearing up for GHOST RIDER 2, the sequel to the smash-hit comic book adaptation from 2007 that saw Nicolas Cage as a stunt motorcyclist Johnny Blaze who gives up his soul to become a hellblazing vigilante, to fight against power hungry Blackheart, the son of the devil himself. What we learned this evening is that Columbia Pictures is officially out to writers to pen the sequel and that Nicolas Cage is in fact attached and signed on to return.
Why? I mean, I'm a Marvel nut, I even enjoyed the Fantastic Four movies - against my will, blame Julian McMahon. But even I couldn't sit through this shit. Why make another?
"Ghost Rider" could have been awesome,but they fucked it up real bad, the movie had nothing going for it...
Oh, and I love how username 'Horror Writer' says "Ghost World" instead of 'Rider'... Man, "Ghost World" is awesome!
How about setting the sequel in the 1970s, getting actors that actually resemble the characters from the comics and shooting for a hard R rather than a family friendly PG-13. I know - I'm a dreamer.
What are the chances that Johnny Blaze will die in the first 5-10 minutes of the movie and the Danny Ketch character from the comics will become the main character? I know...I doubt it too but I can hope, can't I? :)
This was a hit ? It really made 115 mil ? News to me. I sat through about 45 minutes of this before I decided "enough". This had Daredevil written all over it and the fact this movies release date was delayed a couple of years (I think) tells the story. I could care less about a sequel.
Keep Mark Steven Johnson as far away as possible! We cant keep Nick Cage away...But if Johnson doesnt return, let's consider that a victory. Love the comics. Shit movie(I will give it a thumbs up for special effects though). But other than that...Do not want
horrorfan83 are you serious? you thought ghost rider was better than spider-man? iron man was way better than ghost rider...wow some people have bad taste on here. I admit spider-man 3 wasn't very good but even that movie was better than ghost rider...but anyways seriously ghost rider was not very good at all...i have a feeling this will be a flop to end this series in its tracks...i wont see it in theatres
