One of the best new shows of 2008 is HBO's TRUE BLOOD, which everyone should check out when it arrives on DVD later in the year. This evening Variety announced that Preston Jones has landed a recurring role the show. Jones just wrapped on “Road Trip 2: Beer Pong,” and he’ll next be seen in “Spring Break ‘83.” The series follows Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), a barmaid living in Louisiana who can read people's minds, and how her life is turned upside down when the Vampire Bill, walks into her place of employment two years after vampires 'came out of the coffin' on national television.
True Blood is fantastic. If you want a proper 'girl falls in love with a vampire' story then watch this and not twi(shit)light. True Blood has vampires that actually have fangs and powers and use them, plus sex, drugs, violence, sex, great supporting characters, more sex and did I mention sex! Hell, even the opening credit sequence is top shelf. Bring on season 2 !
