"...it’s just as forgettable, if not more than, the first two UNDERWORLD films". why send the guy who doesn't like the underworld franchise to review the third flick? that's just stupid. he was obviously biased towards the movie before he even saw it.

So, if everyone on the site hated the first two Underworld flicks, than nobody should review it? This IS what you're saying, right?

just saw who reviewed the movie. it all makes sense now. too bad it wasn't twilight 2 he saw.

The First film was as not bad... it was stupid in every way, it is the perfect example of the new era of SFX done with adobe premiere and after effects with a couple of green or blue screens. "Ok baby, you're have that sexy suit, show some teeth, and jump, it wil be amazing, what the story? you're in love with that guy, now shut up and start walking."

Seen the first two, dreadful pile of poop they were. Judging by this ones trailers, it looks just as bad. It must be a good pay rate for Bill Nighy

I thought the first two movies were highly entertaining, so if this new one is just as "forgettable", then I can't wait! I swear some people are just determinded to hate everything...

I never saw the first Underworld, but I rented Underworld: Evolution one day and that was it for me. It was a pile of crap. I saw only half way through the movie. Sure they aren't terrible but they are dumb attempts at vampire movies. Nudity and gore can make up for a weak plot.

I never really liked any of the UW movies.

horrorholic, what i am sating is why review something you know you are going to hate. i can tell you my opinion of twilight 2 right now without seeing it. that is my point. and what underworld did you say you saw horrorfan25? i remember seeing some side titty and a lil gore in underworld evolution.

I just saw UW: ROTL. And I admit that going into it I was ready to have at best a so-so time. But surprsingly I was entertained. Bill Nighy's acting was AWFUL every second he was on screen & Rhona Mitra's impossibly overblown lips were distracting BUT overall the movie was better than I expected. Awesome action scenes. The first two films were highly entertaining escapism films. For me having Scott Speedman with his shirt off is always a good time. hehehe But seriously. This prequel was not that bad and they connected this story to where the first film started. So it would be a great trio once on dvd. Play the prequel then 1 & 2. Seemless storylines. This is not high art folks. Just sit back and watch the Lycans kick some serious death dealer butt!!

So Mr. D gave 'U:RotL' 4/10 and 'Twilight' 6/10? Hmm...

The first two were ok but forgettable. They took a great concept and kinda made it into something generic, although entertaining. (The werewolf-vampire hybrid from the first two was just an uber lame smurf and I've had enough of chicks who can kick ass but have no personality).

I'm not the biggest fan of the first 2, just thought they were ok. This one however I thought was the best of the bunch. I enjoyed every minute of the film and all I can say about this review is that he is pretty much wrong in every single thing he says. In fact...SPOILER... he even says that Kate Beckinsale isn't in the film at all which is a lie. Did he even bother to see it? Yeah, it's just old footage, but she IS there... End SPOILER.

I feel some people are not happy unless their complaining about something. how can someone call themself a horror fan if they complain about things like acting and story lines? who would want to watch an oscar worthy horror film??? maybe you guys should have got a ticket to slumdog millionairs or marley and me since that seems to be what your looking for in a movie. for the rest of us if you like seeing vampires and werewolves killing people, good special effects, and a little more back story added to the original movie go out and see the movie.

This was just as badass as the others....loved it. Hope they continue with more.
