Co-producer and star Kevin Grevioux talked to B-D a bit on the carpet of Sony Screen Gems' UNDERWORLD: RISE OF THE LYCANS where he revealed that they're closing in on a director for his comic adaptation ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction. "We do have a director attached, but I cant mention him right now," while also confirming that the director is a genre guy we'll all know, "yeah, yeah [it's a genre director], it's gonna be cool man." He also threw in a little tid-bit that he's now working on a comic book starring a certain legendary Universal monster, "I also have a FRANKENSTEIN comic I'm working on right now that deals with the mythos." You can check out UNDERWORLD in theaters now, watch this spot for a director soon for ZMD.
"ZMD" is the story of a new government weapons program that drops zombies, designed to be photosensitive and dissolve by a set time, into war zones at night to destroy the enemy population. But after one fails to self-destruct in the Middle East, a team of elite soldiers must enter hostile territory to stop a growing zombie army.
