While on the red carpet for Sony Screen Gems' Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, we caught up with UNDERWORLD creator Len Wiseman who reveals that the franchise might not be done yet. "There's a lot of talk about a television series, Im looking into that," he tells B-D exclusively, "if I could be very involved and can be a certain way, I'd be very interested in that." He continues, "We had always hoped to do a trilogy, now that we completed that trilogy it's kind of open, if people can join us and go back in time - and then leap forward, I'd like to go jump all across the time line." There you have it, a possible UNDERWORLD TV series in the works that could take us all across the timeline of Death Dealers vs Lycans.

This may have potential to be a hit show. I mean, i liked the Blade series on Spike, so maybe this could be a good thing. Im staying on the positive side, for now.

while not a massive fan of the series (though they all entertain) i'm all for more horror on TV (Blade was fun if a little dull at time and Master of Horror was excellent - despite a few duff episodes)

I hope they don't make this a series because it would suck. The movies are good, but look at some of the other movies that were turned into shows for tv. Not many of them were good.

I see this being at HBO or Showtime. Probably Showtime since HBO has True Blood. I can also see this having each episode be about a different character. Kind of like mini movies all set in the same world but have them have one background theme that runs through all of them.

I would definitely watch it!

Haha wow people. How would they even show the lycans without a huge budget?

This could be ok as long as they stop making the werewolves just gore fodder. Some fans like werewolves and this series for some reason makes them pussies, even though when you look at the powers they have... the werewolves should be owning ass.

I'm definitely for it but I honestly can't say it will last long. I say maybe 2 to 3 seasons tops? There haven't been a whole lot of viewership with past ventures...Painkiller Jane, Dark Angel,Blade, Birds of Prey etc...maybe it will become another cult status show?

"How would they even show the lycans without a huge budget?" While they do use some CGI, they do have actual Werewolf costumes. I prefer costumes over CGI anyways. Painkiller Jane= Sucked Birds of Prey= Sucked Blade= I don't wanna say it sucked, they just took too long to get where they were going and lost the casual audience. True Blood is a smash hit. Battlestar Galactica is Iconic. As long as you stick to the basic Underwold Style, you'll keep your audience.
