Beyond the break or over at BDTV you can check out the official red band trailer for Magnet Releasing's Mutant Chronicles, which arrives in limited theaters April 25th. In the film Stephen Rea Rea plays the former commander of Lieutenant Mitch Hunter (Thomas Jane), a 23rd century Marine who tries to save Earth by leading a band of soldiers against evil NecroMutants. Perlman portrays the leader of a religious sect who thinks he can destroy the mutants and save the planet, recruiting Hunter to join him.
Looks pretty good, theres something about it though that looks amateur though.. Maybe it was the crappy line readings, or the amount of close shots for everything. I'll still see it though
I've heard quite a few people say this movie is terrible, but it has swords, mutants, and Devon Akoi... That really sounds like an equation for success...
Ive "saw" this movie a couple months ago, it's god awful. Don't have one positive thing to say about it. I like Ron, but he does nothing here to help this steaming pile.
I thought this was out allready, i've got a 1080p copy on my PS3.
Anyway, if you're into low budget, indie sci-fi/horror/steam punk type shit, you'll enjoy this movie.
If you're more into mainstream stuff, probably stay away.
