During an interview with the good folks over at CHUD regarding ADVENTURELAND, star Bill Hader revealed some huge news that both he and Saturday Night Live writer Simon Rich have written a slasher movie for Judd Apatow! "It's partially Straw Dogs meets Halloween meets Home Alone meets Monster Squad," Hader tells CHUD explaining that the film is a horror comedy. You can read more about the project by clicking the link above, but we can only hope that the movie is better than Broken Lizard's CLUB DREAD.

I like Apatow's group, but I don't know about this.

Better writers, better director..I put my money on this being better than Club Dread. I might even say they could have something here...

Urgh, I hate Apatow's movies. The only good Apatow movie was Heavyweights! THAT movie was funny. Everything since he hit it big has been nothing but raunchiness and unfunny characters.

I love Apatow's films. The group of actors he keeps for his films are hilarious, especially Seth Rogen, funny motherfucker. I don't want to see any slasher/horror movie from him though.

'horror-comedy' is so tired.

"Comic Genius Judd Apatow"?? His movies are like 90% improv, where's the genius in that? And Club Dread kicked more ass than your mother on a PCP binge. If Bill Hader is involved i'm in. Needs a better director though. hard to improv horror.

just what we need is more horror-comedies

horror comedy's are so hit and miss, but if anyone could pull it off it would be apatow

If done correctly, this could be amazing. If not, well, hopefully it will be better than Scary Movie 4. :)

Untalented hacks. Stay away from the horror genre.

Club Dread is pretty awesome. As is Bill Hader, so I have hope for this.

what's so wrong with club dread? i love that movie.

I say call it "Killer Kannabis". Weed gone bad, which would be appropriate for Apatow's crowd

:O I loved Club Dread! Although Judd Apatow's Knocked Up and 40 Year Old Virgin were classics, they're burning me out on that style of comedy after Pineapple Express sucked ass and Sarah Marshall was only mildly entertaining at best...Hopefully a new kind of humor is mixed in with this film...

I absolutely loved Club Dread! I have nothing to say about this movie.
