I was a little disappointed with the movie. So I just wonder what they would do with a second movie? Wait and see.

between will smith and the crappy cgi "infected", all aspects of horror were thrown out the window. this is another movie i feel should be covered somewhere else. i understand not all horror movies are actually scary, but watching i am legend was like watching a crappy asylum knockoff.

dude..wtf!? the book was sooo damn awesome...and this movie, whereas i liked it,just didnt freakin do the book justice... now they are going to poop on it more by making a prequel? ugh.. read the book if you havent...the whole point is just astonishing..

They totally missed the point of the book's message. "I Am Legend" doesn't mean, "They'll remember me because I found the cure to this disease, so humanity will remember what I did and that I saved them!", but "They'll remember me because I am the last human on Earth, and I've killed so many of those creatures. When I die, their race will regard me as a legend, 'The man who brought terror to our kind'.". I think In The Mouth of Madness was a BETTER I Am Legend than this movie was, cause despite it being different, it got the "message" of the book with: "Every species can smell its own extinction. The last ones left won't have a pretty time with it. In ten years, maybe less, the human race will just be a bedtime story for THEIR children. A myth, nothing more.".

It will have more than just WIll SMith in it so more in depth characters could provide for a more interesting film as long as they do the story correctly.

magnaderalpha hit the nail on the head. Amen! Hated the movie...hated the effects...hated how they butchered the story and completely missed the point and tone of the book. Prequel??? Why bother? it will just be will smith running from crappy CGI monsters and eventually barricading himself in the house. Fred Hoffman you dont have to capitalize every first letter...

I agree with the haters. Will is lame, the film was boring and the CGI was embarrasingly bad. I will not bother with the prequel, sequel, weakuel or whatever you want to call it

This movie sucked, the CGI was so overly fake it ruined the whole movie. It was very boring as well. So they really need to boost everything up in this next one. More action, better CGI. I am still a fan of the omega man always will be.

I think it's sooo funny when Lawrence says that they have to "think" of a prequel. The book "I Am Legend" had many flashbacks to the beginning of the plague...enough to make a whole movie. Since the movie with Smith only told about 30% of the story...I WELCOME a prequel. Concerning Will...I was NOT happy with his casting...but I was wrong...he did a VERY good job. Maybe this time we'll see "the infected" actually biting people...they were supposed to have some kind of fangs....barely noticeable would be O.K. We've got all these damn zombie movies, they take one of THE GREAT VAMPIRE NOVELS and turn them into hyper-zombies! "28 Months Later" was better.

When did 28 Months Later come out? I did like 28 Weeks Later on the contrary. I welcome a prequel to I Am Legend simply because there's more to be done with this story.
