If you click on over to BDTV you'll find several clips from Stage 6's The Lodger, which opens in NY and LA on January 23rd. Alfred Molina, Hope Davis, and Simon Baker star in a terrifying adaptation of the book on which Alfred Hitchcock's silent classic is also based. THE LODGER follows a grizzled detective on the trail of a ruthless killer intent on slaughtering prostitutes along West Hollywood's Sunset Strip in the same fashion as Jack The Ripper. The film hits DVD February 10th.
Speaking of remakes. Originally made in '27 as a silent as stated above, then remade in the U.K. in as "The Lodger" '32 which brings us to "The Lodger" '44 [which is a pretty decent little black and white atmospheric thriller], that was remade again in '53 as "Man in the Attic". So i guess this is a re-re-re-remake. Damn!
It's being released soon in theatres January 23 and on dvd february 10. Can they do that?
