We broke the news a few weeks ago that Danielle Harris was in talks to return as Annie Brackett in Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN sequel H2. We received confirmation today that Harris has officially signed on to return. In addition, we learned that Daniel Roebuck will also be returning to Haddonfield as Lou Martini. They will join the confirmed names of Ezra Buzzington and Tyler Mane (Michael Myers), while we are still awaiting official confirmation on Scout Taylor-Compton, Malcolm McDowell, Daeg Faerch and Sheri Moon Zombie, although we're told it's pretty set in stone. HALLOWEEN 2 arrives in theaters August 28th, 2009.
To a point I liked Harris. For some reason, I didn't like her performace in the remake. It just seemed to fake. I figure she will get killed off in the first 30 minutes of the movie. It's great to see Mane as Myers again!! As for the other members of the cast I could live without. I did like the guy who played Loomis.
Man, not only do I not like her pancake boobs, but I couldn't be less excited for the making of this film. Check out the latest Double Murder for my reasons why: http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/podcasts.php
Excuse me for being stupid but didn't Michael's mum shoot herself while watching home movies (like most people want too i would imagine!)
So unless it's in a flashback not much chane of Sheri Moon Zombie returning!
But then i guess when you are the directors wife anything can happen!!!
Daeg and Sherri are obviously going to be in flashback scenes. I'm ok with it.
I like Malcolm McDowell. He's not trying to be Donald Pleasance, what would be the point? Scout was ok. But no female lead in my opinion would compare to Jamie Lee Curtis. Danielle's character is not that important, but I think it's good to have the same cast as the first to continue the story. Tyler Mane did a great job as Michael. The best on screen since the original ( Nick Castle I think ?).I'm really curious to see where RZ takes the story. After the first, he can now take this in any direction he wants. Hospital ? Will it be the same night only, or continue on into days? Where will this be going?
Nothing against Mcdowell, but his Loomis was a little too stiff and subdued for me. They should recast the role with Robert Englund. He wouldn't need to go buy a gun. He'd already have one like Pleasance.
I will say Danielle Harris is smokin-hot. I've met her a few times at conventions and she seems nice and all, but acting wise, i don't find anything special about her. So i'm happy that i'll have some nice eye-candy to disract me, but i'm not expecting an oscar-worthy performance from her.
