A Caveman Heads Into Rob Zombie’s Haddonfield
Rob Zombie reveals this morning that Jeff Daniel Phillips has joined the cast of H2. He will play Howard Boggs, the bouncer at The Rabbit in Red club. For those of you who don’t know who Phillips is, he is that fancy Caveman in those Geico TV spots. The new film picks up right as the first remake ended, following the aftermath of Michael Myers’ murderous rampage through the eyes of the sister he hunted. Loads more casting is yet to be announced, watch this spot for more soon as the film begins shooting this month.
Written and directed by “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail, the upcoming Panic Carefully is described as being in the vein of “Mr. Robot” and The Silence of the Lambs, and it’s coming to theaters next year from Warner Bros. Previously set for theatrical release on February 26, 2027, however, Panic Carefully has been moved this week to April 9, 2027.
Panic Carefully will be released in theaters and IMAX by Warner Bros.
Julia Roberts leads the star-studded cast of Sam Esmail’s Panic Carefully, which also includes Eddie Redmayne (Fantastic Beasts), Brian Tyree Henry (Godzilla vs. Kong), Ben Chaplin (The Thin Red Line), Aidan Gillen (“Game of Thrones”), Joe Alwyn (The Favourite), Naledi Murray (“Sweet Tooth”), and Elizabeth Olsen (“WandaVision”).
Esmail previously directed Julia Roberts in Netflix’s Leave the World Behind.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the paranoid thriller is said to involve the hunt for a cyber-terrorist.
Esmail and Chad Hamilton produce for Esmail Corp. (“Mr. Robot”), along with Roberts, Scott Stuber (Frankenstein), Marisa Yeres Gill (Leave the World Behind), and Lisa Gillan (Leave the World Behind). Kevin McCormick and Chrystal Li are overseeing the project for Warner Bros.
