While we brought you a first look at the cast here last November, now we've got the first two official images from Summit Entertainment's Sorority Row, a remake of the 1983 classic THE HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW. Directed by Stewart Hendler, the film stars Briana Evigan, Rumer Willis, Audrina Patridge, Carrie Fisher, Julian Morris, Leah Pipes, Margo Harshman, Jamie Chung, Matt O'Leary and Caroline D'Amore. Beyond the break you can check out three of the lovely ladies from the film as featured in our exclusive images. The pranks begin on October 2, 2009.
When five sorority girls inadvertently cause the murder of one of their sisters in a prank gone wrong, they agree to keep the matter to themselves and never speak of it again, so they can get on with their lives. This proves easier said than done, when after graduation a mysterious killer goes after the five of them and anyone who knows their secret...
This is almost like I know what you did last summer. Let me guess, it will probably be the girls family or someone who saw them. Or better yet,she wasn't really dead and she's killing. Same old, same old!!
i can't wait for this movie...i just ordered the old one so i can be prepared for this and it definetly needed to be updated........october is gonna be a good month
The original isn't exactly "good", but nostalgia has forced me to have fond memories of it. Nice looking visuals on this one so far, random ass flick to give another go though.
I was just thinking when I was reading the plot again? That is the same basic plot from "I Know What You Did Last Summer". Obviously a few differences with the accidental death, but kind of the same idea.
Guys, guys, guys...Let me remind you that this is a remake of an 80s Slasher flick. The plot has been changed only a little, but what The House on Sorority Row cover-up (getting rid of a body in a water) was nearly identical to IKWYDLS, and that came out in...what...97? Whereas Sorority Row came out in 83 or something. But there are many Slasher plots similar to this. Love the stills though!
LOVE these pics. I was psyched about this but now. Well wow! Definitely one of my most anticipated horror movies of 09 (which looks like it´s gonna be a great horror year). October is way too far away.
Scream110 you took the words right outta my mouth. The original is 15 years older than that Jennifer Love Buffy Moesha Felicity Hewitt Movie. I ordered the original from NetFlix and it has been backordered for 2 months now. Dammit! Still want to see this though.
I don't get what the first picture is all about.
It sort of looks like it's taken right out of the last scene of the film, with the three survivors walking away from the burning Sorority after having finally got rid of their killer...?
Hey SCREAM 110. I was being sarcastic. I am fully aware that SORORITY is a remake and it came long before IKWYDLS. MY jab was that it clearly borrowed the plot much like Disturbia took from Rear Window. Were not all dummies.
I'm actually a fan of thew original. Could be nostalgia cause it was one of the films i caught at a drive in double feature in the 80's, but probably because I just think its a fun little slasher flick. I still have a copy of the old vestron vhs and revisit it from time to time. That being said, I dont hold this film in such high regard as to not think that a remake(if done properly) couldnt be a helluva lotta fun. Im looking forward to it. Also wanna see MBV and Night of the Demons remake too.I feel about the same way towards them.
Will at any point in this film Rumer willis say " yippie ki yay"?
