When Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN remake was announced, one of the biggest pieces of news was that Danielle Harris would be returning to Haddonfield as she'd end up starring (and taking her top off) as Annie Brackett, one of Laurie Strode's friends. Harris was best known in the horror community as little Jamie Lloyd - Michael Myers' niece - in both 20th Century Fox's HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS and HALLOWEEN 5: THE REVENGE OF MICHAEL MYERS. We learned this evening that Harris is in final talks to join the cast of H2, or HALLOWEEN II if you will. She is the latest name circling the project alongside Scout Taylor-Compton, Malcolm McDowell (signed for three films), Daeg Faerch and Sheri Moon Zombie. Tyler Mane (Michael) is the only confirmed name thus far. What do you guys think Zombie will be doing with Harris? The film hits theaters August 28th, 2009.

Since Myers left her all cut up she and Laurie should team up and go all Linda Hamilton Terminator style, hunt Myers down and open huge cans of whoop ass.

I think this time a cool deaf scene would be nice

Oh my God! I've been waiting for this news! She better not be killed off in the first 10!!

i like her but i prefer her when she was in part 4 and 5!

I always found it a little sick that Zombie no doubt cast her in the remake after being a fan of her in Parts 4 and 5 (when she was about 10), so his decision for her to take her top off always struck me as a little sleazy and tasteless, like it was some kind of demon he had to exorcise. I hope I'm wrong coz otherwise that says some pretty disturbing things about him. If she does return for this I hope she stays fully clothed!

she should return definitely. It be interesting to see what happened to her character. I hope she survived and has a nice big part in the film. If you count h4 h5 and this remake. She's one of the few characters that survived michael. I don't think you should just kill her off. She is a strong character and a strong actress.

It be cool if they had a hospital scene with her in it. She survived. Loomis shows up and kicks michaels ass.

she should get hacked up by a stalker ... that would be sweet!

I have a feeling that Zombie is going to have a little twist on the hospital setting from Halloween II by having Michael stalk Annie there as well as Laurie. I don't know if there are any legal issues with using a hospital setting in this film since Universal owns the rights to Halloween II, but i think it would be a cool way to honor the original sequel, as well as putting a new spin on the film. Either way, I'm glad that Danielle Harris will be back.

Well, Annie being brought back is good news I hope he doesn't kill her in this film either that way she can comeback for Halloween 3!!!!!

Officially the first piece of good news about this movie in a long while (or at least since the earlier directors for this film were announced).

I knew she would return. Great news!!!

I was never a huge fan of Halloween 4 or 5, but it is nice to hear Danielle Harris may be returning for H2. Aside from the involvement of the Akkad family, she's the last thread connecting the old to the new films.

this is excellent news!! Danielle's ANNIE was one of the BEST things in the movie! i'm thrilled w/ this news!

oh, i forgot, i agree w/ Horror Writer. Annie being all topless was WAY too gratuitous and Zombie knows it. there's NO reason (especially in H2!) for her to be all naked the entire movie. and DEFINITELY DO NOT kill her off. i actually would rather ANNIE be the main focus over Scout's LAURIE (no offense to Scout or her fans).

Danielle Harris is cool and all but Annie was not the "best" part of Halloween and no way should Annie be the main focus of H2. Scout's a better actor and Halloween is nothing without Laurie. The original Laurie Strode died in Resurrection and the series had to reboot after that. Wonder what Halloween would be like without Laurie? Just think about the final hour and twenty minutes of Resurrection. Yeah. See my point?

Great! I pray to God everyone from the first film comes back to do "H2". I hate it when a sequel is made with different actors playing the same characters as the first film. I really hope Scout Taylor-Compton comes back though. I know a lot of people thinks she did a horrible job as Laurie Strode, but I think she was fantastic! I loved the remake, I can't wait for this one :)

I agree I think Annie is a character that should live on for a while longer (maybe through H3) but not a character that is more important than Lauie (Scout) I think Scout done a great job as the NEW Laurie. She would have sucked as the OLD Laurie (Jamie Curtis) so I am glad Rob gave the character a new life and feel. I hope Annie lives through H2 and goes on to be a character in at least H3 and maybe die toward the end of that or something. I am looking forward to the film but am not ampe up yet. Halloween was a little of a let down for me when it came out but it wasn't as bad as a lot of people are saying it was. I didn't mind it so much it was better than 1/2 of the sequels we had and probally a hell of a lot better than what we woudl have gotten after Resurrection if they didn't redo the franchise. I am actually excited to see Friday the 13th coming out in Feb. Then Halloween 2 in Aug. we can see who the real Horror Icon is.

I like Danielle, and I love boobs, but I kinda thought it was a shame She was required to take her top off in order to get a role in the last film. Also WTF is Sheri Moon Zombie going to do in this new film? It shows just how fucking shallow Zombie is as a director to keep giving His wife roles in his films. God knows no one else would. Zombies films are as weak as his music was. Ninteen sixty five-five-five!

If this picks up right where it left of with Danielle cut up and left for dead. It doesn't make much sense for her to have much of a role beyond recovering in a hospital bed.

This is the best news about the movie I've heard so far. I didn't like the original, and I'm not excited about this movie, but I am a very big fan of Danielle's, so I just might have to check it out to show my support for her.

ok that i dont mind if she is in h2. i loved her in halloween four and five. but i still aint seein this. the remake was stuipd i saw it twice. (once on dvd and the other at a hauntedhouse type of deal) and they both wanted to make me fall asleep. only way i would consider seeing this is if it takes place in the hospital like how halloween 2 did and if jamie lee curtis did another cameo but didnt die like how she did in halloween ressurection.
