KFC Cinema has posted a slew of new images from Park Chan-wook's Thirst, only their forum is locked and none of us are able to see them. Fortunately, one of the images is available for viewing and can be found beyond the break. The story finds Korea's leading man, Song Kang-ho, as a much-loved priest who becomes a vampire after a failed medical experiment; he becomes a tortured and depraved soul. Title refers to a craving for sex, blood and love. CJ is pitching the pic as a love story with horror and drama. Focus Feature will release the Korean film here in the States this year.
Extremely jacked for this. Do people still say "jacked" ? Anyway, yeah big fan of Park's, the wait has been too long. Bring on the misery this movie will surely invoke
Granted, in the wrong hands a love story with vampires can be crap, case in point-Twilight, The Covenant.
However, in the right hands you get something incredible like Let the Right One In. This director has yet to disappoint. His Cut segment was my favorite of the Three Extremes trilogy and I loved his last collaboration with this actor, Sympathy For Mr Vengeance. I'm really looking forward to this!
These pictures look so cheesy . . . But that shouldn't surprise me. Other than Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, there is not a single movie by Park Chan-Wook that I didn't laugh all the way through.
