I'm really excited. The 80's version was good when the killer was on screen, but there wasn't much of that so it was just okay. I'm hoping this one will be an improvement...I'm really thinking this might do decent at the box office (top 10, 5?). I see TV and theatrical ads everywhere.

Im seeing it in 3D at the theater, there is no chance in hell, im buying the DVD in 3D... DVD's are better in 2D for me:)

See I said the same thing. Its like one side of me says fuck remakes, but the other side of me loves the original My Bloody Valentine, and seeing the cool trailers for this, Im so hyped for this. Plus you cant go wrong when the killer wears a gas mask.

The original is such a fantastic movie. I'm actually somewhat curious about this one, though with Patrick Lussier at the helm, I'm not getting my hopes up.

He will find some why to hate the actors and the directing and insult them rather then just take the movie for what it is. markmy words on this

Hate to do this, Mr. D, but there you go again: "It's in our horror nature to immediately hate the idea of a remake" Really? So the fanbase which was raised on everything from Hammer Frankenstein and Dracula films to John Carpenter's THE THING naturally hates the idea of remakes? I would have to say that while there is a good deal of negativity toward remakes, I would also argue that only the most cynical, reactionary, and uninformed automatically hate the notion of remaking any horror film.

Hardly insane violence and there is nothing to cringe about unless maybe you are a little girl. Either way I'm interested and will rent it on DVD at some point.
