B-D reader Joey M. sent us a link to a whopping six new images from Lionsgate's My Bloody Valentine 3D, which feature your first gory images, along with two new looks at the killer. In the remake directed by Patrick Lussier, Tom (Jensen Ackles) returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine's night massacre that claimed the life of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders. The film hits 900+ theaters in 3-D on January 16th, while the rest of the theaters will show it in 2-D.

This movie looks like perfect popcorn fun. Hopefully, the bunched-panty fanboys who spend all their time lurking B-D, waiting to tear down anything and everything that is a remake, a franchise film, or an 80s throwback will at least give it a chance. $9 is a small price to pay to see an underdog horror film become a surprise hit, revitalizing the genre at the box-office. Just think how many horror films that currently sit in development or bound-for-DVD hell would get priority treatment from studios if MBV3D, THE UNBORN, and FRIDAY THE 13TH were all big box-office smashes. Sure, we'd get some turds, but we'd also get some cool flicks that might otherwise never find their audiences.

DickoftheDead, they at least have the pickax through the jaw and out of the mouth. in the new issue of FANGORIA there's a VERY SPOILER pic of one of the main cast with a pickax depicting that. it's an awesomely gory pic, but i wish that FANGORIA hadn't included it in the article. i was COMPLETELY shocked at this person's death. that being said, i'm SO excited for this movie! fortunately i'm living in a city with REAL D cinemas. it's a bit of a bummer that everyone will not be able to see the movie in 3D (only 900-ish theaters across the country are equipped with REAL D?!!!).

The killer looks so menacing and creepy! Can't wait to see this. The picture with the girl in the dimly lit market with the killer looks like it may include a good chase scene!

I don't care how old u are, 3-D never gets old. Im looking forward to seeing this movie. I have seen the original, one of all those 80's genre horror movies. Don't expect an oscar winning movie. It's fun, 3-D, im sure the kill ratio will be high. Again with the fun!
