First Look at Twisted Pictures' 'Chain Letter'
Monday, December 22, 2008

Well here's another Twisted Pictures movie that fell completely off the radar... until now (and for probably a very good reason). Today the full trailer was found for Deon Taylor's Chain Letter, which tells the tale of a maniac who targets teens when they fail to forward chain mail. The film stars Michael Bailey Smith (The Hills Have Eyes), Nikki Reed (Twilight), Noah Segan (Deadgirl, Cabin Fever 2), Keith David, Betsy Russell (Saw franchise), Matthew Cohen, Cody Kasch, Michael J. Pagan, Cherilyn Wilson and Clifton Powell. Click over to BDTV to take a look -- pretty awful, ain't it?

Looks like your typical DTV crap. The premise is very weak though. What next, a slasher for people who throw away their Publisher's Clearing House stuff?

this looks like a retarded amalgamation of Jhorror, 90's slasher movies, and saw.

Looks like the FearDotCom equivalent of One Missed Call. And what's with the constant name dropping with "Deon Taylor"? Is the mere mention of that name supposed to distract us from the crap quality?

lame

What do you expect? American horror has hit an ALL TIME low and is getting worse. That's why I have giving up supporting any of this crap. I don't even waste my time by giving it a chance anymore. It's sad and frustrating but at least there is a lot of great foriegn horror and older stuff being restored to DVD to quench my undying thirst.

I'm not sayng the movie looks good, but the premise is actually quite interesting; yet, it's getting picked apart by the same reprobates who can't stop fellating the swollen prick of the next Jason outing.

Wow. This movie looks awful. And I agree Cathedral opf Demoni. If you have any foreign horror movies you could suggest, please mssage me.

Did this Deon douche cut the trailer himself? It looks like a f*&^%ing mess! Go to his IMDB page and the man is a legend in his own mind. And it's interesting how Twisted Pictures is nowhere to be seen in the trailer or IMDB page. Maybe it's even too shitty for them.

are you fuckin kidding me, twisted pictures did this awful piece of shit. he only reason I might see it is for the gore, but this looked so bad looked like somebody who is an indie director decided to do it. I still love V-LOG that shit was funny and amazing.... I don't care what anyone saids.

creative mind? bull. twenty bucks said this story is all over the internet already...on a myspace bulletin board. this is absurd. what's worse, is that the killings look relatively decent. the guy wrapped in chain looked well done; until i remembered "oh yeah, serves him right, he didn't forward an e-mail" epic. fail.

^^^Definite co-sign with Cathedral. American 'Horror' is a complete joke currently. It's no wonder the rest of the world is kicking our a**es. Especially when tripe like this is getting greenlit. As for this lamea** attempt, no way in hell you get me to watch this. So a psychopath is able to keep up with EVERYONE who doesn't pass the letter along? If that's the case, this movie should have the highest body count in the history of ever.

I don't agree that American horror is a joke. There are many good films that come out here. Hit a film fest and you'll see... France does put out a few good horror films per year, but I watch alot of foreign films that end up being shit. When you focus on only the bad American films and the good foreign films, you'll never get a level comparison. Chain Letter does look like total shit though.

Hmm. I remember reading a couple of books (actually called "Chain Letter" and they used snail mail chain letters) with a similar plot like a decade ago. They were those teen/pre-teen horror novels and yet they still appear to be more entertaining than this movie. That's just sad because the premise is kind of nifty.

I dunno... It's obviously tongue-in-cheek, and I like that about movies. You know? Movies that don't take themselves too seriously. Sometimes those can be the most entertaining.

I saw the trailer for this film on deontaylorenterprises.com and got the chance to read the full synopsis. This is a go film for me and my girl!
