Grindhouse Releasing has announced that they'll be releasing Lucio Fulci's CAT IN THE BRAIN on DVD March 31, 2009. No extra features have been revealed yet, but you can check out a mesmerizing look at the cover art inside. In the film a horror film director (played by Fulci) is stalked by a mad psychiatrist/serial killer bent on killing people to model the killings after the director's gory death scenes from his movies. What ever happened to a bunch of movies that Grindhouse was suppose to put out, like American Hippie In Israel and Gone with the Pope? The only thing they have done in 2 years is put out Pieces. Not impressed with this company.
Cool cover but I don't know much about this film. I know more about his Zombie stuff but what I can see by the pics on the company site I may just pick this one up out of morbid curiosity.
Finally! Grindhouse is the best company for remastering and distributing old horror films in the country! If only they'd start putting some of their films on Blu-Ray—I'd love CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST and the rest of their titles on blu.
