Beyond the break or over at BDTV you can check out the US trailer for Magnet Releasing's Eden Log, which will hit theaters in February as part of their ongoing Six Shooter Film Series. Directed by Franck Vestiel, a man regains consciousness deep down at the bottom of a cave. He has no idea of how he got there, nor can he determine what happened to the dead man whose body he wakes up next to. Only one thing is certain—he has to escape the menacing creature that’s pursuing him, climbing back to the surface through a cemetery like world that’s been abandoned by a mysterious organization called Eden Log.
i watched this online months ago and i thought it was one of THE most boring movies i've ever seen. i went in to it really excited, thinking it looked great and all, but it just bored me. it wasn't scary. it looks like it cost $20 to make, etc. yet, i know some people have liked it, so maybe it's just me.
Films cost a whole lot more to make than some think. Given that, I thought the film was okay. It stuns me that they used the french language version seeing that they shot the scenes back-to-back in French and English as they went along (I saw the English version). I hated how the trailer pretty much gives away any reason to watch this...The whole movie rides on the fact that you know nothing. Anyways, it was worth the download. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it in theaters though...
I agree that one shouldn't watch the trailer or look at the movie's (awesome) site before seeing the movie as it will detract from some of the tension and mystery. I thought it was a damn good film, and if it plays near me, I'll pop out to see it.
