Coffin Joe fans should be prepared for a treat as the gravedigger Zé do Caixão returns to continue his search for the perfect woman to bear his son. Embodiment of Evil (trailer), which is one of the bloodiest and most insane movies I have ever seen, is already out in Brazil while us horror fans are stuck here in the States begging for this gem on DVD. I'm not sure how many there are, but I saw a couple of the old black and white ones as well and dug them...looks like things have changed(/evolved/who knows) quite a lot since then, haha. I'll have to check it out.
This movie is a fresh reinvention of Coffin Joe, well-tied with the old movies (all the ghosts in "Embodiment of Evil" are earlier "black and white" victims of Zé do Caixao) and full of crazy gore moments. I've seen it in a Midnight screening at Sitges 2008, and I really enjoyed it!
Coffin Joe is awesome and I have been waiting for this one. Looks like a crazy follow up to "At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul" and "This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse".
... Mojica Marins - Coffin Joe is a really funny person!!! I've met him this september in Lisbon at Motelx Horror Festival, and it was so great to meet and talk to someone that shot films you've loved... and his last remaining big nail... unbelievable!!! :)))
