After hitting a low point in his career with the abysmal ASYLUM, David R. Ellis is continuing his trend in genre filmmaking by directing Six Days Till Midnight, which is is about a wealthy businessman who encounters a stranger who says he has six days to answer one question. For each day he doesn’t get the answer, a loved one will be killed, ending with the businessman’s death at the end of the sixth day. Ellis had a long career as a stuntman before moving to second unit director and then helming the fright films FINAL DESTINATION 2, SNAKES ON A PLANE, and most recently FINAL DESTINATION 4, which he shot in 3-D and which New Line/Warner Bros. releases in August. “I’ve been doing high-concept B movies, and this is the best script I’ve been associated with, a thriller with a great twist,” says Ellis. Shooting begins in April on the film scripted by Mark Bacci.
