Paramount Pictures/DreamWorks Pictures announced that they will now release Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones adaptation in theaters December 11, 2009, nine months later than originally planned... The film centers on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family – and her killer – from heaven. In addition, MGM has bumped back the release of Drew Goddard (Cloverfield) and Joss Whedon's The Cabin in the Woods from it's planned October '09 date all the way to February 5, 2010. No details have been revealed yet, but we'll keep you posted as soon as a synopsis hits the net.
While I'm anticipating The Lovely Bones, its not horror. Granted, its Peter Jackson directing it, but if anything, its a supernatural drama (at least going by the novel).
americangods, it is too horror. I think The Lovely Bones is more of a horror movie than half of the movies this site covers. Regardless, I hated the book, and the movie is going to end up being as bad as Twilight. Anyone want to say otherwise? Peter Jackson can direct, but that doesn't mean anything.
Yeah, no directors barely have any impact on their films. It's mainly the make- up department that does it all.
