Granted it's in Japanese, beyond the break you can check out the first footage from Park Chan-wook's Thirst, his new vampire flick that will be released here in the States via Focus Features. The story finds Korea's leading man, Song Kang-ho, as a much-loved priest who becomes a vampire after a failed medical experiment; he becomes a tortured and depraved soul. Title refers to a craving for sex, blood and love. CJ is pitching the pic as a love story with horror and drama. Chan-wook directed the infamous SYMPATHY trilogy that includes the epic OLDBOY.
It's Korean not Japanese. Anyway this is probably my most anticipated movie. Can't wait. Park Chan Wook is the best director of the decade. Nobody else even comes close.
"Title refers to a craving for sex, blood and love." ...and kalbi.
