Before you get your panties in a bunch, our sources have confirmed Shock's previous story, which reported that Rob Zombie might be directing Halloween II for Dimension Films. We've been told that there are some heated talks ongoing, still leaving everything up in the air. The new Laurie Strode, Scout Taylor-Compton, thinks she has a better handle on the rumors as she tells Sequel-Buzz, "Where did you hear that from?... Oh, I'm so sick of this. People need to stop believing what they read on Internet. I'm somewhat close with Rob and believe me, if there was any truth to this...I'd know." The question is, would she really know? I'm going to go with no... chime in on your thoughts below.

Who knows, if she says she is some what close to Rob then maybe she would know. I'm sure if Rob was going to Direct it he would tell her so he could sign he up really fast to return as Laurie, I dont think a new Laurie is needed she did a good job and it would suck to have 2 different people play Laurie in the same "reimaging" of Halloween

Hahahahahaha

I conducted the interview with Scout...and personally, I think she's just out of loop.

What was taken out of the interview and replaced with three dots? Just out of curiosity.

I'm sure Rob calls her up everyday and asks her how her day is going. Either way...fuck her and fuck rob zombie. She is a horrible actress and he is a horrible director.

The three dots stood in for "I'm pretty sure".

nickmeece, i agree w/ you. if Rob is RIGHT in the middle of negotiating things, i don't see why he'd tell ANY of the possible cast (Scout & Danielle?) what's going on if he HIMSELF wasn't sure if he's definitely directing it. probably the only people who remotely have a clue are ROB (and i assume his wife) and the studio heads.

Well, no matter what, she better return as Laurie. And hopefully Zombie is going to write/direct.

Actors lie. I remember Shia LaBoeuf saying he'd never met with Speilberg or Lucas for Indiana Jones 4 and having no idea where the rumor came from, then a few days later it was officially announced he had in fact been cast. Personally I'm hoping Scout is in the loop and Zombie isn't involved to the capacity of director. I hope that the directors of Inside are somehow still in on this and Zombie hasn't broken his promise to not return to this genre for another remake.

PoisonKeyblade

Well, it wouldn't really be a remake. Halloween II could be like The Grudge 2... a sequel to a remake that had nothing to do with the original sequel.

She sounds like a real cunt LOL... I bet you five bucks it is happening and thats why she's so pissed... And your close with rob, what do you do suck his dick.

I'll believe her. She's pretty.

daysfan79

I didn't care for the Halloween remake, way too much backstory and too many characters who are not developed enough for starters. Maybe the sequel will be better.

Lesson #1 Dont believe anything on the internet (even a supposed interview on this site or anyother) till a official announcement is made by the people doing it. Personally I hope he does it again even if most everyone hated it, but hell it was titled "rob zombies halloween" not john carpentars halloween. But cut some slack, no one could have lived up to the originals fanboy idiocy. I enjoyed it for it what it was.

americangods

Not living up to the original film is something I could've handled. But Rob Zombie took what made the original so great and went in the opposite direction, producing something generic and very unscary. Carpenter's Halloween was a very subtle and artfully composed film next to Zombie's creatively bankrupt orgy of violence.

I will watch it I liked the first not as much as the original but still good. Plus what is everyone bitchin about he made it for ten million and it grossed over fifty million that means he helped more horror get the green light. He also tends to do better with second installments.

very true Irish Mic, devils rejects was awesome while house was mediocre. i bet if rob does in fact direct the sequel, and is given some fresh material to use with our beloved characters, it could very well turn out to be the horror Michael Myers masterpiece we all wanted the remake to be

Just one more disappointment to the John Carpenter Halloween legacy as far as I'm concerned. Zombie's remake could have been much more masterful had he not taken so many liberties with the original storyline. H-II (if it actually happens) could do worse without Zombie or Scout.

A lot of people hated Zombie's Halloween because it's the "IN" thing to hate Rob Zombie, as well as remakes. I can understand people hating it for the simple fact that it just wasn't their cup of tea, but calling it one of the worst Halloween movies ever is fucking retarded.

Hopefully after they realized she's a worthless actress they would never tell her anything.

smqart

Who cares about a Halloween 2 remake. The remake for the original sucked. Scout is no Laurie Strode. If they were reimagining they should have killed her and just left it with Annie. Halloween does not need to be remade and neither does the sequel. They are classic.

zombiefan09

I bet all of this is a rumor about Rob directing HALLOWEEN 2, because he said he had no interest in directing a sequel. I still want to see HALLOWEEN 2 made!!!

DarkVengeance

I dont care what she says, he frickin acting abilities in the remake were pretty terrible, she could never understand the character of Laurie Strode she's worse than a B grade actor.

she could'nt act her way out of a porno, go flip some burgers you skank.
