If only she can survive the murderous rage of friends and even her own family long enough to uncover the secret.
2 or 3 good ones is probably considered a success for After Dark. but it'll eventually get to the point where they all just suck brick. the only one that looks any good is Dying Breed
If anything in this list is anywhere near as bad as Lake Dead I'm gonna have some fun with these ones. I gave up hope for another The Abandoned, now it's time to mock.
From the trailers only The Broken impresses me here. Dying Breed looks kind of like an Australian Wrong Turn. Autopsy's trailer would've looked fine had they not included the god awful narration.
From Within looks like a case of a great idea for a horror movie ruined when they start to rip off of The Abandoned and have characters be killed/chased by their dead dopplegangers.
Just from the pictures alone, Perkins 14 looks awful, Slaughter looks great (but their not showing us much of it yet) and I've seen little to nothing of Butterfly Effect 3.
I've seen that Korean movie, Voices. I'm sure some of you have already seen it, too. It was called "Someone Behind You". Not sure why they changed the title.
From within is an okay movie. Could have been alittle more meaty. Autopsy is a 'lovecraft/re-animator-esq' tribute type film without trying to be . very Funny and a sequal could easily be made.
DYING BREED looks alright.. I'll probably check it out.
AUTOPSY looks retarded.. I'll wait for the reviews.
THE BROKEN is supposed to be really good.
SLAUGHTER looks awesome.
PERKINS 14 just looks retarded..
THE BUTTERFLY movie looks dumb.
FROM WITHIN sounds interesting
VOICES looks dumb but is supposed to be a really great movie.
autopsy sounds like this movie i seen on sci-fi a few months ago... it had that chick from 'heroes' and her bf disappeared in this hospital. does anyone know what one it is?
8 STINK BOMBS TO CRAP ALL OVER. THIS SERIES IS A JOKE AND SO ARE THE FILMS IN IT. IT'S JUST A LAME MARKETING HOOK MEANT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF DECENT HORROR FANS EVERYWHERE. 3RD TIME AROUND YOU'D THINK FOLKS WOULD WAKE UP.
IF THESE WERE TRULY 8 FILMS TO DIE FOR THEN WHERE IS MARTYRS, WHERE IS REC, WHERE IS SPLINTER, WHERE IS DIARY OF THE DEAD, WHERE IS ACCOLYTES, WHERE IS LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, WHERE IS KING OF THE MOUNTAIN, WHERE IS MOTHER OF TEARS.
Dying Breed definately looks like it's going to be the finest film in the set. I am also excited to see the rest though as most seem great (exna the Butterfly effect, and Perkins' 14) everything else looks quite entertaining, can't believe only a few months away from the new set I still havne't seen every release from the other two festivals
LoomPanix, you are spot on! I think this "Horrorfest" is a complete insult to the genre. Not one of them has produced a quality film yet. Where is Poughkeepsie Tapes??????
