We broke the news exclusively here on B-D this week that Guillermo del Toro would be producing a stop-motion animted version of Pinocchio, with popular artist Gris Grimly taking directing duties for Jim Henson. Today Variety updated our story with news that Del Toro's will work on the screenplay with Gris Grimly, who illustrated a 2002 version of "Pinocchio." Its cool and all but if he isnt directing it then I dont care awhole lot. Producing and assisting with the screen play is all well and good but its eye for camera work and directing his ideas onto screen that I like.
