While other websites are making assumptions (and you know what that makes...) based on the Lionsgate firings, we can confirm that Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures are currently working on the screenplay with Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton for Saw VI with plans to shoot the film for its regular October release in 2009. Anyone who thinks Lionsgate would abandon the one successful franchise that they own is out of their minds. SAW V is already close to making the same amount theatrically as the fourth, according to the Box Office Mojo. Unless things change, the plan is to have SAW VI directed by Kevin Greutert.
It's been announced for years now that Vi would happen, and with the story as it is, it needs ONE more film to conclude the story. But please, DON'T make a part VII!!
The blood will flow
thats a cool tagline, thats hell of alot better than the last tag line for SAW 5,You'll never know how it ends
LAME
ill still see them dont know whats the rush to release every year.
Oh stop all your bitching. At least the 5 Saw movies were GOOD and gave us all the backstory we wanted!! I'm stoked for Saw VI and honestly, I'd rather see a Saw VII (if the writers can keep up the good work) then another shitty remake.
people really stop all the bitching...if you dont want to see any more saw films then why the hell do you keep going to see them?!?!?! i love the saw series and will continue to watch as long as they make them....so if you dont want to see anymore then shut up and go see something else
a lot of us aren't really bitching about Saw 6. I have no problem with it, it NEEDS to happen to close the series. But what many of us don't want is a Saw 7. And this is coming from a huge fan.
You know I want it to end at six, but they should just keep making more to spite all the people who get insanely worked up over Saw having another sequel.
if saw 6 is the last one i really hope they end it the right way . i would like to know how jigsaw gets all his info on everbody . plus what was in the box .
Lol...talk about overkill, (pun intended), but this is just nuts. Who believes they'll do a prequel next??? The life and times of Jigsaw. I'm damned positive they will. Wait and see...
I said it before and I'll say it again: People who say that the SAW series are similar to the Halloween series (if it's promotional or whatever...) is a dork and doesn't know what they are talking about.
And it is fucking stupid to say that there will be a prequel (someone who actually says THIS hasen't been watching for at least a year).
They will not make a prequel and they will not make a remake. Theese comments are just overall retarded.
I prefer the saw-bashing comments, then the smartass what-will-be-next comments.
@gsp175: your first question was actually already answered.
