Some pretty huge news comes in this evening for Full Moon fans as GINGERDEAD MAN 2 and 3 director Silvia St Croix will be stepping behind the camera for DEMONIC TOYS 2, which begins shooting in two weeks in Rome, Italy. For those of you who didn't know, the original 1992 film was written by David Goyer! You can read the plot crunch inside. The plan is to release the film on VOD and DVD in 2009.
SYNOPSIS: While on a trip to help a eccentric collector of bizarre oddities, young David and his girlfriend Caitlin are forced to fight for their lives when they find themselves trapped in an ancient Roman castle as the Demonic Toys are brought pack to life by a mysterious ancient puppet who sets them on a course for murder. Only the fulfillment of an ancient evil curse can save them. But will anyone be alive to be saved in the end?
FUCK YEAH! They better correct the mistakes they made on Baby Oopsy-Daisy. Fuck Dollman for his bullshit. Bring back the original voice and I don't give a shit attitude and I'll buy this movie before seeing it. Yeah, and leave the robot out. Replace him with Tunneler or Leech Lady or something. It sounds like a kinda crossover.
FUCK YEAH!!! I am a big Demonic Toys fan, WAY above Puppet Master. I even used to own a screen-used Jack Attack stunt puppet. Let's hope to GOD that the puppets they use look like the puppets from the originals and not the crappy looking ones from Puppet Master Vs Demonic Toys!
I also want to say that I'm very happy to see that GingerDead Man 2 brought Full Moon back from the dead, and that they're making new additions to their classic series. This truly makes me happy, I was a big fan of Full Moon in the 90's.
Full Moon used to be good...Something happened around the mid-90's but all the films started to go down the tubes?

The only thing that worries me is that if you watch the dreadful flick "Evil Bong", there's a cameo by Jack Attack, and it's the one from Puppet Master Vs Demonic Toys...man, I really hope they can get better designs for the toys, I mean, the entire film is dependent on it!
Awesome, but where's the source on this? I check the Charles Band blog regularly, but he hasn't mentioned this. I'm not saying it's not true. I'm just curious if there is somewhere better to go for Full Moon news than the once-or-twice-per-month updates at the Charles Band blog.
Some cool movie trivia about David S Goyer and the Demonic Toys script: He wrote it in 8 days at the age of 23, after being handed a piece of concept airbrushed artwork by Charles Band. THIS IS SO AWSOME!!! Demonic Toys is one of my favourite movies!By the way, Full Moon will also be making a 9th Puppet Master movie! I can't wait for these movies to come out!
Full Moon didn't make PMvsDT so I'm not going to blame them for that one but boy was it god awful and I'm a huge fan of both PM and DT.
I can't wait to see how this sequel turns out. Hopefully it's at least entertaining.
For those interested the reason why Jack looks the same in both PMvsDT and Evil Bong is because Jeff Farley did the FX for both of them and due to the extremely short filming time couldn't do a brand new one and scrapped the one from VS.
