Beyond the break you'll find some sales art for Dennis Iliadis' incredibly violent remake of The Last House on the Left, which is still looking for a release here in the States from Rogue Pictures. The film was just rated "R" by the MPAA for "sadistic brutal violence including a rape and disturbing images, language, nudity and some drug use." In the remake of the classic Wes Craven film, John and Emma Collingwood are on vacation at their lakeshore house when, by a bizarre twist of fate, they give shelter to the sociopaths who have just assaulted and nearly killed their daughter. Upon discovering the truth, they exact a chilling revenge on her attackers...
Looks awesome. Can't wait for a trailer. What happened to the March Release Date? Rogue shouldn't have a problem with releasing this, after the success of THE STRANGERS. They really know how to market films...
probably a fake poster...but the idea sounds pretty good, Craven's was real good, but i always like when a movie can be re-amped with way more gore which is what this sounds like its going for...anyone know when the release date is or rumored?
this had better be alor better than the strangers...i kept waiting for that to startup, but nothing. another waste of time like funnygames.
leys hope this one is done some justice.
It cant be more violent than the original. The original is a disgusting classic. Great film. Hopefully the remake will be a better remake than any other one that has been released over the past few months.
looks pretty cool. need to see the original though. hey atleast it wouldnt be a watered down version like how the remake of promnight was so thqt the stupid tweenys cant go and see it. this sounds good!
You must see the original horrorchick81. A 7o's horror classic, no doubt. I'm proud to have it in my DVD collection. SEE IT, you won't be let down. "Is it safe?"-----Marathon Man.
The original was truly disturbing! Gory? Not so much gory as twisted. I think with todays effects this will have far more gore to it. As for the poster, I agree with Jacque. The sign is stupid and does not make sense. I cannot wait for this.
There is no way that this poster is official, it's just flat out boring and it doesn't make any sense.
Regardless, with an 'R' rating the movie shouldn't disappoint.
I'm looking very much forward to this.
This is probably cover of the book version of the film. The only way the remake will surpass the original in "shock value" will be if they go "torture porn" on us. The original was shocking because the audience in the 70's wasn't ready for it, now those SAW movies have been preparing us and I don't think it'll be appreciated as the original.
