Beyond the break you'll find the aFM teaser poster for John Hillcoat's (The Proposition) adaptation of The Road, which stars Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Robert Duvall. The story centers on a man who embarks on a nightmarish road trip after a nuclear explosion in an attempt to transport his son to safety while fending off cannibals. Based on the 2007 Pulitzer Prize winner novel by Cormac McCarthy (author of “No Country for Old Men”).
i read on chud that early screenings did not review well and weinstein walked out before the end of the screening he attended. I have high hopes for this as well though. the proposition was a dark dingy (good) film and i think hillcoat will definitely bring the desolation from the book alive perfectly.
as far as the test screenings go, i hope they don't change the ending in order to please audiences who want a happy Disney-type ending. god that would suck ass. i'm SO excited for this movie.
