DreamWorks Finds Dangerous Children For 'Unman' Remake

We just came across a pretty big story thanks to a regular tipster. What we've learned is that DreamWorks Pictures has what they call their "next DISTURBIA". What we learned is that DreamWorks is planning a remake of John Mackenzie's 1971 thriller from Austria, UNMAN, WITTERING AND ZIGO, a film that is set in a prep school where the new teacher of a class of 9th grades begins to suspect that his class murdered his predecessor. The film will simply be known as Unman. You can check out a scene from the original by reading beyond the break.

Interesting premise! I don't agree with the idea of remaking the film (or any other film for that matter) but something surprising might spawn from it, especially since adolescent violence is something we can relate to in the United States. I just hope DreamWorks doesn't spit out a sugar-coated teenage-friendly "thriller" from the source material.
