One of the big surprises in all of the SAW films are the big casting reveals that appear when you see the film. Obviously, after four films, it's expected that we're going to see a rash of returning characters in Lionsgate's Saw V, which hits theaters everywhere October 24th. What we've got for you inside is the FULL cast listing, which is going to leave some of you flabbergasted. So make sure you put those hard hats on and get ready for Spoiler City.
What Lionsgate has told us is that Julie Benz, Tobin Bell, Scott Patterson, Costas Mandylor, Mark Rolston, Betsy Russell, Samantha Lemole, Meagan Good, Laura Gordon, Greg Bryk and Carlo Rota all star in David Hackle's SAW V. What they didn't tell you is that we learn that Hoffman's (Costas Mandylor) first name is MARK (big whoop) and that Erickson's (Mark Rolston) first name is MARK (another big whoop). The real story is the "confirmed" returning cast, which you can reveal by highlighting the hidden text below. Beware of major spoilers. Also, note that the returned cast could be flashbacks, cameos or old footage.
Mike Realba - Fisk
Jeff Pustil - Bernie
Shiela Shah - Special Agent Cowan
Lyriq Bent - Rigg
Athena Karkanis - Agent Perez
Justin Louis - Art
Donnie Wahlberg - Eric Matthews
Danny Glover - Detective Tapp
Behar Soomekh - Lynn
Mike Butters - Paul
Niamh Wilson - Corbett
Angus McFayden - Jeff
Lisa Berry - EMT
Bill Vibert - Officer
Tony Nappo - Gus
Timothy Burd - Obi
Brandon McGibbon - Hank
Natalie Brown - Heather Miller
Sarah Power - Angelina
Cory Lee - Jasmine
Wow, there's 2 names on that list that I'm really happy to see, and 2 that I'm semi-surprised are not on there. This isn't a spoiler to me, it's a small ray of hope. Some of these returning characters better not just be quick flashbacks though.
Wow, some guy on IMDB just plagiarized my above post word for word... Weird. And if you didn't watch IV, then some of those names won't matter to you. But there's one name on there that should stand out even if you've only seen through part III.
Is this really the last Saw movie. God I hope so. Don't get me wrong, I like the Saw movies, but the law of diminishing returns is becoming more and more apparant. Time to let this franchise rest.
Yeahh, yeahh, I know she wasn't "fit as an appropiate follower / apprentice to continue JigSaw's life of work", and the fact that she was such a hysterical cry-baby @ SAW 3, pissed people off..
..But...
Remember who said this specific (genius, brilliant) line;
"By creating a legacy, by living a life worth rembering, you become immortal.."
One of the most CLASSIC LINE's in the SAW-universe....
This franchise just keeps going on with no end in sight. I guess the audiences for this junk are willing to keep coming back for less. The idiocy of the saw universe is insulting to an average intelligence. The first SAW was interesting and somewhat unique. The second somewhat less interesting-just more of the same. There's more creative mutilations than there are plot advancements. So I guess you don't have to write a story as much as to invent new horrific devices of torture.
you little girls are pathetic. saw is the only original rated R horror series that delivers any originality, and you wine like a virgin on prom night. Which all you haters of true horror probably camped out to see at your local theater.
hopefully this has a little more importance and substance than III & IV. i loved the first one, and the second was actually a good follow up with a good twist, but they are really struggling to keep this franchise going every year, perhaps if these sequels werent so rushed, they could write better ideas better characters better plot.
danny glover being in this is kind of a nice surprise. if they paid cary elwes properly from the first saw they could have continued the story with what happenned to him that would have made more sense and been more entertaining.
donnie whalberg being involved isnt a surprise seeing as how he is reunited with new kids on the block i can see him oozing talent right now...not.
korollocke, really? you're complaining about that? as written in yellow underlined text above, "you can reveal by highlighting the hidden text below." that way the spoiler is hidden unless YOU choose to see it, how does that qualify as "dumb shit"?
Invisible ink and shit was cool when i was five, now it's just lame to see shit like that on a supossedly serious web site. just put info up for all to see with out the emo lame ass high light it to reveal it crap. so whats next hidden codes and stuff to unscramble to find out who or whats going on in the flick?
no, it's to hide the info from people who might be linked to this page or be otherwise unaware that there are spoilers here... that way they can make the choice to read it or not for themselves. if we put it up for all to see like you say, we could spoil things for those who'd rather wait. i don't think there's much point trying to explain it though, if you somehow think it's a gimmick or "emo" haha, seriously wtf? also, i still think invisible ink is cool.
@ Knight of Cydonia; you have just again proven – with your last comment –, what such a dumb-ass you are ..
" Look at the IMDB page and you'll see her in the cast list. " I mean, come on, grow up, will you??
According to IMDB, the newest SAW-movie will be lasting for about 88 minutes... Please quit kissing IMDB's asses ..
Have you *EVER*, in your little, pathetic life of yours, *EVER*, experienced a SAW-movie, that truly lasted "for only up to 1,5 hours???
GET THE FUCK LOST...
I've got really high hopes for this one. It looks like it could be a real return to form. That said, I liked Saw IV. Pretty sure I'm in the minority there but I enjoyed finding out about Jigsaw's background. I can't help but wonder if the 'You Won't Believe How It Ends' tagline is a hint at Tapp being involved in the murders this time?
Somebody posted on the IMDB comments thingy that the twist of Saw V is that at the end we see Agent Strahm drowning in the Headtrap and apparently Danny Glover walks in and reveals that HE is Jigsaw. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen but that comment was posted BEFORE the final cast list was revealed. Maybe a coincidence that the said person posted that, but could be possible.
Also, and this has REALLY been doing my nut in, but Niamh Wilson {Corbett} from Saw III is listed in the main credits at the end of Saw IV, yet, she wasn't in it, she didn't even appear in a flashback. What's up with that?????
Anybody know????
It's *SOO* funny... I really seem to be the *ONLY* SAW-fan, who disliked/(s) the 2nd movie the most out of all the 4.. (About the fact that so many people liked / loved II, *THAT* really throws me off .. ) Seriously!!? There even was this person who thinks it was, I quote - "under rated"!!.. I mean, SAW II "*under rated"*??! Come on!! Get a fucking life, will you.. (the twists in II were quite good, yes, I have to give kudos to them for that, but the acting ... Haha Haha ...If you ask ME which movie is "the most under rated", then I say; ..IV!!
Oh well .. Anyway ...If I'd have to order these movies from best to worst, this is what my list would have looked like;
I'd put the original on #1, (I think this goes without saying..) III goes to #2, IV belongs to #3,(it WASN'T *THAT BAD*, people!! .. LOL..) and II .. I already stated my opinion on that..
Now I *VERY MUCH* hope that V is approximately at the same level as I and / or III .. . And if it's NOT, then shit, I'd STILL be glad if I could stick it up there, in between III and IV ..
egyption for stupid? what ever your sucking on, put it down its messing with your head. your point is if it were up it would spoil it for other people? if they don't want to know then why click on the article or this web in the first place dip shits.
im guessing most of these will be flashbacks i love donny wallberg but he said he didnt want to do anymore saws but then was pulled in for the fourth one so idk excited to see lyrik back in it he played a major role in saw 4 it would be a shame if they left him out of this one and im suprised that shawnee smith isnt signed on maybe they have said all they need to about her well cant wait definetly a midnight premire!
Saw 5 is going to be great, i love this franchise. However the new show scream queens is being made for one reason, the winner of this show gets a role in saw six. Does this mean that 5 is going to cut us off when things are getting good> I have high hopes but we'll just have to wait and see!!!
HOLY FUCK...Damn Saw 5 is a good movie. I watched it today. it got released on Oct 23 in Australia and I cant wait for 6...And Shawnee Smith IS in it, but only briefly appeared in flashback type stuff....I want to say soo soo much about it but I won't spoil it for anyway...You find out how Hoffman became involved with Jigsaw, and its kinda funny how to..Well enjoy watching it, when you do...
