One of the big surprises in all of the SAW films are the big casting reveals that appear when you see the film. Obviously, after four films, it's expected that we're going to see a rash of returning characters in Lionsgate's Saw V, which hits theaters everywhere October 24th. What we've got for you inside is the FULL cast listing, which is going to leave some of you flabbergasted. So make sure you put those hard hats on and get ready for Spoiler City.

What Lionsgate has told us is that Julie Benz, Tobin Bell, Scott Patterson, Costas Mandylor, Mark Rolston, Betsy Russell, Samantha Lemole, Meagan Good, Laura Gordon, Greg Bryk and Carlo Rota all star in David Hackle's SAW V. What they didn't tell you is that we learn that Hoffman's (Costas Mandylor) first name is MARK (big whoop) and that Erickson's (Mark Rolston) first name is MARK (another big whoop). The real story is the "confirmed" returning cast, which you can reveal by highlighting the hidden text below. Beware of major spoilers. Also, note that the returned cast could be flashbacks, cameos or old footage.

Mike Realba - Fisk
Jeff Pustil - Bernie
Shiela Shah - Special Agent Cowan
Lyriq Bent - Rigg
Athena Karkanis - Agent Perez
Justin Louis - Art
Donnie Wahlberg - Eric Matthews

I stopped caring about this franchise after the first one.

Wow, there's 2 names on that list that I'm really happy to see, and 2 that I'm semi-surprised are not on there. This isn't a spoiler to me, it's a small ray of hope. Some of these returning characters better not just be quick flashbacks though.

Someone help me out here. Which part is supposed to be big news? Seriously, I quit watching after 3.

Wow, some guy on IMDB just plagiarized my above post word for word... Weird. And if you didn't watch IV, then some of those names won't matter to you. But there's one name on there that should stand out even if you've only seen through part III.

Is this really the last Saw movie. God I hope so. Don't get me wrong, I like the Saw movies, but the law of diminishing returns is becoming more and more apparant. Time to let this franchise rest.

That's funny .. No Shawnee .. (Well, "funny' isn't exactly the word that I was looking for, since I was kinda an Amanda-fan .. Oh well..)

can it get any worse?

Yeahh, yeahh, I know she wasn't "fit as an appropiate follower / apprentice to continue JigSaw's life of work", and the fact that she was such a hysterical cry-baby @ SAW 3, pissed people off.. ..But... Remember who said this specific (genius, brilliant) line; "By creating a legacy, by living a life worth rembering, you become immortal.." One of the most CLASSIC LINE's in the SAW-universe....

can it get any worse?

OMFG. That really surprised me. I really want to see this one in the theatre, but I guess I'll have to wait until Janurary to watch it on DVD.

My only problem with these films is that they aren't properly titled...haha. Only the first film had anything to do with a " saw. "

This franchise just keeps going on with no end in sight. I guess the audiences for this junk are willing to keep coming back for less. The idiocy of the saw universe is insulting to an average intelligence. The first SAW was interesting and somewhat unique. The second somewhat less interesting-just more of the same. There's more creative mutilations than there are plot advancements. So I guess you don't have to write a story as much as to invent new horrific devices of torture.

but remember theres stilll got to be more surprise appearances remember in 4 the clinic and all the cameos in that scene.

The 1st was decent, the 2nd was horrid. I could care less about Saw.

Dante0028
2:44pm, October 13, 2008

I'm sure Danny Glover and Wahlberg will only appear in old footage...

I hope they are all filming new footage, cuz this is awesome news. And Shawnee is supposedly only in archive footage.

MAKE IT STOP!!! FUCK SAW. I pity the dumb monkeys who actually pay to see this shit. It ended in part 3, end of story. Time to face the music

I hope Tapp's character is still alive. We never did see him die on-screen. HE could've survived the shot.

you little girls are pathetic. saw is the only original rated R horror series that delivers any originality, and you wine like a virgin on prom night. Which all you haters of true horror probably camped out to see at your local theater.

most of you are probably soaking wet for twilight i suppose.

hopefully this has a little more importance and substance than III & IV. i loved the first one, and the second was actually a good follow up with a good twist, but they are really struggling to keep this franchise going every year, perhaps if these sequels werent so rushed, they could write better ideas better characters better plot. danny glover being in this is kind of a nice surprise. if they paid cary elwes properly from the first saw they could have continued the story with what happenned to him that would have made more sense and been more entertaining. donnie whalberg being involved isnt a surprise seeing as how he is reunited with new kids on the block i can see him oozing talent right now...not.
