I stopped caring about this franchise after the first one.

Wow, there's 2 names on that list that I'm really happy to see, and 2 that I'm semi-surprised are not on there. This isn't a spoiler to me, it's a small ray of hope. Some of these returning characters better not just be quick flashbacks though.

Is this really the last Saw movie. God I hope so. Don't get me wrong, I like the Saw movies, but the law of diminishing returns is becoming more and more apparant. Time to let this franchise rest.

Remember who said this specific (genius, brilliant) line; "By creating a legacy, by living a life worth rembering, you become immortal.." One of the most CLASSIC LINE's in the SAW-universe....

This franchise just keeps going on with no end in sight. I guess the audiences for this junk are willing to keep coming back for less.The idiocy of the saw universe is insulting to an average intelligence. The first SAW was interesting and somewhat unique.The second somewhat less interesting-just more of the same. There's more creative mutilations than there are plot advancements. So I guess you don't have to write a story as much as to invent new horrific devices of torture.

hopefully this has a little more importance and substance than III & IV. i loved the first one, and the second was actually a good follow up with a good twist, but they are really struggling to keep this franchise going every year, perhaps if these sequels werent so rushed, they could write better ideas better characters better plot. danny glover being in this is kind of a nice surprise. if they paid cary elwes properly from the first saw they could have continued the story with what happenned to him that would have made more sense and been more entertaining. donnie whalberg being involved isnt a surprise seeing as how he is reunited with new kids on the block i can see him oozing talent right now...not.

i'd really be interested in seeing Shawnee, but alas.....

I've got really high hopes for this one. It looks like it could be a real return to form. That said, I liked Saw IV. Pretty sure I'm in the minority there but I enjoyed finding out about Jigsaw's background. I can't help but wonder if the 'You Won't Believe How It Ends' tagline is a hint at Tapp being involved in the murders this time?

I don't dig that tag-line.. It has become so fucking irritting .. I prefer WWJD ("What Would JigSaw Do?") instead..

Somebody posted on the IMDB comments thingy that the twist of Saw V is that at the end we see Agent Strahm drowning in the Headtrap and apparently Danny Glover walks in and reveals that HE is Jigsaw. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen but that comment was posted BEFORE the final cast list was revealed. Maybe a coincidence that the said person posted that, but could be possible.

Also, and this has REALLY been doing my nut in, but Niamh Wilson {Corbett} from Saw III is listed in the main credits at the end of Saw IV, yet, she wasn't in it, she didn't even appear in a flashback. What's up with that????? Anybody know????

I liked Saw and Saw III -- maybe this franchise will be, like, the anti-Star Trek, where each odd-numbered film is actually good. But I doubt it.

It's *SOO* funny... I really seem to be the *ONLY* SAW-fan, who disliked/(s) the 2nd movie the most out of all the 4.. (About the fact that so many people liked / loved II, *THAT* really throws me off .. ) Seriously!!? There even was this person who thinks it was, I quote - "under rated"!!.. I mean, SAW II "*under rated"*??! Come on!! Get a fucking life, will you.. (the twists in II were quite good, yes, I have to give kudos to them for that, but the acting ... Anyway ...If I'd have to order these movies from best to worst, this is what my list would have looked like; I'd put the original on #1, (I think this goes without saying..) Now I *VERY MUCH* hope that V is approximately at the same level as I and / or III .. . And if it's NOT, then shit, I'd STILL be glad if I could stick it up there, in between III and IV ..

im guessing most of these will be flashbacks i love donny wallberg but he said he didnt want to do anymore saws but then was pulled in for the fourth one so idk excited to see lyrik back in it he played a major role in saw 4 it would be a shame if they left him out of this one and im suprised that shawnee smith isnt signed on maybe they have said all they need to about her well cant wait definetly a midnight premire!

Saw 5 is going to be great, i love this franchise. However the new show scream queens is being made for one reason, the winner of this show gets a role in saw six. Does this mean that 5 is going to cut us off when things are getting good> I have high hopes but we'll just have to wait and see!!!

HOLY FUCK...Damn Saw 5 is a good movie. I watched it today. it got released on Oct 23 in Australia and I cant wait for 6...And Shawnee Smith IS in it, but only briefly appeared in flashback type stuff....I want to say soo soo much about it but I won't spoil it for anyway...You find out how Hoffman became involved with Jigsaw, and its kinda funny how to..Well enjoy watching it, when you do...
