We've got two new reviews courtesy if the Screamfest Horror Film Festival, which is now running through next Sunday in Hollywood, CA. First, we've got a positive look at Eric Red's big return to horror with 100 Feet, which BC says, "will be remembered as one of his best." In addition, we've added a review of J.T. Petty's horror-western, The Burrowers, which Lionsgate will be releasing on DVD next April. BC says, "There are shockingly few monster scenes, and most of them are confined to the film's finale." Click either title above for the reviews, trailers, posters, pics and more.
Can't wait to see the creatures in The Burrowers. I was surprised when i heard it was straight to DVD. Its been a while since i've seen Famke Janssen in something new.
"...[100 Feet] will be remembered one of [Eric Red's] best..." Yeah, but Red has never even made a decent film. Nice to hear more positive stuff about "The Burrowers" though.
Just to clarify, before someone comes in critiquing, I mean Red as a director. His whole directorial resume is full of poor projects. Red was at one time a great screenwriter, but as a director he has done nothing substantial or memorable in the least.
i LOVE Famke so i'm really excited to see 100 Feet and The Burrowers is on my 'MUST SEE' list, too.
