Josh Brolin is signed to play Jonah Hex in Warner Bros. Pictures adaptation of the comic of the same name, according to Hollywod-Elsewere. This dispels all rumors about Thomas Jane scoring the role. Written and directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (Crank, Pathology), Hex, known for having the right side of his face disfigured and wearing a Confederate army uniform, was a rough-and-tumble gunslinger and part-time bounty hunter whose adventures always ended in blood.
Make the damn movie already! Would love to see two gun mojo story line adapted for the film, not that 80's hex time travel garbadge postapocaliptic misfire.
Def! Brolin's going to be excellent, and as long as they keep it a period piece (not the aforementioned time travel/post apocalyptic story line)and with the right director, they could make a seriously dark, hard film- exactly what it should be and what the original comic strived for.
