Arriving in limited theaters on November 7th is Roadside Attractions' House, which stars Michael Madsen, Allana Bale, JP Davis, Reynaldo Rosales, Bill Moseley, Leslie Easterbrook and JulieAnn Emery. Today we were supplied with four exclusive images from the film directed by Robby Henson that takes stranded two teens to The Wayside Inn where inside they find another couple with an equally troubling story about a similar accident. It seems that backwoods pranksters have made their day miserable. Still, they are safe... or so they think.
A movie based on the novel? While some readers will admit the book reads like the script to a movie, the book just wasn't all that good, and unless we're maybe talking Frailty, I don't think that horror and spiritualism (at least in the Christian sense) blend together particularly well.
Usually I don't get into Christian-based horror, but I think with the right amount of tweaking, this could be a decent movie. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
americangods, what about "Rosemary's Baby", "The Omen" or "The Exorcist"? Those are all classics of the genre and all grounded in spiritual and/or Christian religious beliefs. However, I agree that "Frailty" pretty much rules.
I LOVED THE DEKKAR/PERETTI NOVEL...
House is "R" rated and I am glad.. the book is brutal in some parts..and it has to be gory and violent...
I will be there for this one for sure..
I remember this scene from the book. Dude, this is going to be cool.
