Arriving on DVD this Tuesday from Fox Home Entertainment is M. Night Shyamalan's latest horror-thriller - his first R-rated effort - THE HAPPENING. To celebrate the release, we've been supplied with three copies of the DVD for some lucky B-D readers to win. Read on to see how to enter.
When a series of unusual events begins to draw the attention of the world’s population, high school teacher Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberg), his wife Alma (Zooey Deschanel) and their family go on the run. Their attempt to avoid becoming victims of these bizarre occurrences develops into a desperate fight for survival as an apocalyptic crisis threatens humanity.
The film will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track. Extras will include deleted scenes with introductions from M. Night Shyamalan, behind the scenes featurettes (The Hard Cut, A Day for Night, Elements of a Scene, Visions of The Happening: A Making of, I Hear You Whispering) and a gag reel. A Blu-ray release will also be available for $39.98 with all of the above, plus scene specific PIP, 2 short featurettes (Train Shooting, Forces Unseen), and a digital copy of the film.
