Earlier this week we brought you the exclusive premiere of the one sheet for DreamWorks' The Uninvited, now if you head on over to BDTV you can take a peak at the trailer for the film, courtesy of IGN. Directed by Tom and Charlie Guard's, the PG-13 remake of A TALE OF TWO SISTERS arrives in theaters January 30th. Elizabeth Banks, David Strathairn, Arielle Kebbel and Emily Browning all star. Click the title above for a few pics that were released last year, along with the new synopsis.
Nobody should pay money to see this crap -- that's what torrent and watch-movies.net are for -- it only encourages the studios to do more PG-13 remakes.
Second comment b/c I just saw the trailer...WTF? That is the whole movie wrapped up in 2 min! What is it with spoilers these days?? The less I know about a film, the more impressed I am, it seems...Guess I don't go in expecting anything and come out with something.
This looks plain awful! It has nothing to do with the original TALE OF TWO SISTERS. The reality is that, besides two "good" Asian-remakes (The Ring, The Grudge), all the others remake have been horrible. One Missed Call (awful), SHUTTER (boring and awful), PULSE (really awful), Dark Water (pointless).. Maybe THE EYE wasn't that bad... Well, but Jessica Alba may have influenced my opinion...
Trailer was ok, despite showing way too much. The story appears to be different from A Tale of Two Sisters...so I'm not sure what to think of it. Might check it on DVD.
I really dig the poster art. The trailer had some creepy FX but seemed to give away too much of what they consider to be their "story"... who knows, maybe there's a "dark family secret" that's revealed at the end of the second act that will "shock" the audience (assuming they get an audience... which, of course they will, because shitty films always make the box office's top 5). And why does the trailer dedicate so much screen time to the [seemingly under-aged] protagonists in their bikinis?
So far, this movie has gotten nothing but bad comments. I haven't had the chance to see the original but I want to see it real bad. I'm not going to judge this movie based on the trailer cuz I do like some remakes better then then the original (ex: When a Stranger Calls and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre)Maybe it'll be good but maybe it won't. Who knows?
