This weekend the Nuart theater in Los Angeles hosted a very special reunion screening of the classic 1984 vampire film FRIGHT NIGHT, where director Tom Holland and most of the cast were on hand for a question and answer session that went well into the early morning. Inside you can read a bit about it, check out a few photos and then listen to the Q+A recorded by SpookyDan.
Hey Creeps! I wanted you all to know that BD was running around last night at the Nuart theater in Los Angeles for a special screening of the awesome '80s Vampire film FRIGHT NIGHT!!
A bunch of the cast were on hand to talk about the film, including the missing link of horror - Evil Ed himself - Stephen Geoffreys. I caught the entire Q+A on MP3 so you could hear it for yourself! Our great friend Tim Sullivan moderated the panel and director Tom Holland talks a bunch about the things that brought him to create Fright Night. The quality of the recording is choppy, but you can hear everyone talk about the influential film, as if you were sitting right in the audience!
An extra tidbit: The good news is that some guys were running around shooting the whole event for a potential new DVD release. Nothing official has been announced, but with the revival of the film screenings and the sold out shows across the country, it seems only a matter of time before we hear about a proper Special Edition DVD!
It was a great screening. Cool to see suprise guests like the newscaster, editor and FX guy show up too.

It's good to see Geoffreys could take a break from his leather/porn career to go back to his roots!
Fright Night kicks ass though, one of my favorite horror films ever!
Damn, How exciting would it be to see a Fright Night SE! I mean... I would eat that up even if it really didn't have any new features, but only had an awesome box or something; the movie is purely priceless. And yea 2COOLEATHERFACE, we really do need a re-release of Fright Night 2 in wide screen!
I believe Mr. Geoffrey's didn't actually have a porn career. I thought it was decided that it was actually his twin brother.
I would love a SE release (Blu-Ray anyone?)
Hopefully LionsGate will get around to putting out a decent edition of Fright Night II.
No, he did. Not only have I seen the proof, but I have a magazine article with him being interviewed in which he talks about it. Plus when looking at his mainstream film hiatus, and then looking at this mysterious "twins" porn career...the dates match up perfectly. But it doesn't matter anyways, he's cool! Like I said, it's just good to see him back in horror.
I would have killed to have been there. Fright NIght is one of coolest fucking 80's vampire movies ever!!!! Almost better than Lost Boys. I hope this is one film that NEVER gets remade. A new DVD release would rock , too.
