One of Entertainment Weekly's favorite films at this year's Toronto International Film Festival was Bruce McDonald's Pontypool (review), which carried quite an interesting premise. In the film a a small-town radio station discovers that recent madness in the local population may be caused by a virus transmitted through speech.
