This afternoon Lionsgate sent out the first official poster for Darren Lynn Bousman's Repo! The Genetic Opera, which will be playing Fantastic Fest this Friday, Toronto After Dark in October and then hitting limited theaters on November 7th. In the not-so-distant future when an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet, scientists gear for a massive organ harvest. A biotech giant comes up with easy organ payment plans, but all financed organs are subject to legal default, including repossession at the hands of repo men.
the first i ever heard of this movie was on last years "Scream Awards". Ever since then I have been eagerly anticipating its release. im counting the days.
hahaha i forgot they owned fearnet. notice how lionsgate also includes quotes on their DTV shit twice like your quote for Dead Clowns. It's on the front and on the back. anyway, fucking awesome poster! i can't wait to see this film.
the site may be owned by lionsgate but they are calling it a cult classic because its a horror movie musical. if you look back through the history of movies, musicals have only been popular among certain groups and those groups arent usually the mainstream movie fans that will be shelling out the money to go see crap like saw 5. still, the poster looks cool as well as all the other pics and trailers ive seen for this flick. i personally cant wait to see it, its going to be awesome!
