Today we learned of two upcoming DVD releases from First Look Studios, which both arrive at retailers on September 30th. Inside you can find details on FLU BIRDS, which played on the Sci-Fi Channel earlier this year, and the other is entitled GHOULS. Read on for the skinny on both, along with the DVD cover art.
FLU BIRDS
During what is supposed to be a quiet camping retreat, six teens find themselves being hunted by giant birds infected with a mysterious virus that has morphed the birds into deadly predators. When the teens flee from the woods to a nearby military bunker on the outskirts of town, the flock of infected birds descends, spreading the killer virus they carry throughout the nearby town. One by one, the townspeople succumb to the virus, but a small group of them and the teens are able to find impenetrable shelter…at least for now. Will the teens be able to make it out of the town alive or will they end up as bird food?
GHOULS
A young American girl goes on a journey to Eastern Europe to visit her family. While there, she meets a strange and mysterious ghost hunter who speaks of terrifying mystical creatures who roam the surrounding forests, preying on the town’s innocent victims. Together, they discover her supernatural heritage and connection to the evil spirits who plague the town. The creatures once ruled the earth and are planning to rule again with her help, willing or not!
Flu Birds sounds cool,and it comes out at a time when Bird Flu could kill millions of people around the world. I think this one will get a lot of attention and will do well.
