If you click on over to BDTV, you can watch an exclusive clip from Dario Argento's The Mother of Tears, his highly anticipated third mother film arriving on DVD September 23rd. In the clip entitled "Opening the Urn," you'll see how the madness begins and get a taste of the awesome monkey in the film. The final installment of the "Three Mothers" trilogy. A young American art student, Sarah, "unwittingly opens an ancient urn that unleashes the demonic power of the world's most powerful witch. As a scourge of suicides plague the city and witches from all over the world converge on Rome to pay homage, Sarah must use all her own psychic powers to stop the 'Mother of Tears' before her evil conquers the world."
I luckily managed to catch this in it's (all-too limited) theatrical run a few months back...it's easily one of the most entertaining films of the year. While it lacks the elegance and atmosphere of some of his earlier stuff, it more than makes up for it in sheer over-the-top mayhem and berserk brutality.
