MGM Home Entertainment's 20th Birthday Edition of CHILD'S PLAY is now available on DVD everywhere, and to celebrate we chatted one-on-one with creator Don Mancini, who reflects on the past, present and future of Chucky, one of the most infamous slashers in horror history. When serial killer Charles Lee Ray is mortally wounded in a police shoot-out, he uses a voodoo spell to transfer his soul into Chucky, a "Good Guys" doll. Andy receives the doll as a birthday gift, and Chucky soon resumes his killing spree. However, Charles doesn't want to be trapped in the body of a doll forever. His only escape would be to transfer into the first human he revealed his true identity to... which places Andy in mortal danger.
good interview...even though i aint a fan of remakes (except for tcm and friday the thirteenth) i might check this out....want to get the spec. edition chucky dvd though.
