If you head on over to BDTV you can check out the full new trailer for Darren Lynn Bousman's Repo! The Genetic Opera, which Lionsgate will release in limited theaters on November 7th before possibly expanding into more theaters. In the not-so-distant future when an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet, scientists gear for a massive organ harvest. A biotech giant comes up with easy organ payment plans, but all financed organs are subject to legal default, including repossession at the hands of repo men.
Now I might watch this movie, since I hadn't seen the trailer and seen the awful mark It up..or whatever it was called scene, wasn't too sure about this film..now I'll atleast check it out.
That seriously looks AMAZING, I've been waiting months for the trailer and that certainly did not disappoint. Coolness all across the board with a great cast and an awesome-looking futuristic world. I can't wait!
This trailer has been available on the movie's official website and in HD (mtv.com) for months now. So this is not really news, in fact, its in lower definition on BDTV.
@flesheater123: Wait, what the hell is wrong with "Sweeney Todd"? If you say, "Because it wasn't gory enough! RAWR!", then you deserve to be pistol-whipped.
@TheDeadMayTasteBad: I loved Sweeney Todd, but I think an "average" person probably wouldn't like it because of its 'slow' songs, while REPO! seems like they're gunna be really.. engergetic(?) songs.
yeah, this is the same trailer that's been released for a while now. it's still cool. i've been really excited for this movie for forever, but after seeing that AWFUL Bill Moseley clip, i have my doubts. but one bad part in a movie does NOT a bad movie make. so i'm still optimistic this will be good. plus i'm a HUGE Sarah Brightman fan.
I seriously hope they expand its release, because a LOT of people want to see this. It looks so unique and incredible, a 10-theater theatrical run (from what I've read, only 10 theaters are lined up to show it as of now) for a primarilly direct-to-DVD release just isn't good enough.
To everyone who is saying "Fuck Sweeny Todd". Sweeny Todd is monumentally more violent than Repo, which I saw a few months ago. It had a few really good gory scenes, but its far more sci-fi than horror.
And Sarah Brightman is good, but is not in it very much - nor are Ogre or Paris Hilton.
