Last weekend’s #1 indie film at the box office, Sukiyaki Western Django (review), will be opening in LA on September 12th. In preparation of next Friday’s release we have exclusive clip from Takashi Miike's latest over at BDTV. The battle scene is pretty bloody and a man gets bent backwards, in half! Set during "The Genpei Wars" at the end of the 1100s, the Minamoto and Taira gangs face off in a town named Yuda, while a deadly gunman (Ito Hideaki) comes to the aid of the townsfolk.
I love Miike and this film is very good but it is in no way a horror film. It is Miike meets Leone. I down loaded this movie about a month ago, so I do not get what is exclusive about the clip.
Oh great now Miike is doing shit thats already been done. How is a western if its set during the 1100's? They are a little of.
