Not really big news, and pretty obvious if you ask me, Summit Entertainment's TWILIGHT (November 21) received an official PG-13 rating from the MPAA for "some violence and a scene of sensuality." Lionsgate's REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA (November 7) received an R for "strong bloody violence and gore, language, some drug and sexual content. Magnet Releasing's LET THE RIGHT ONE IN (October 24) also scored an R-rating "for some bloody violence including disturbing images, brief nudity and language." Lastly, Magnet's SPLINTER (October 31) received an R for "violence/gore and language."
yeah funny thing is that usually means "kissing and or petting" but im sure that since Twilight is a HUGE property and the boards seem to be light on ratings for shit like that im prepared for a full on fuck scene..... ;)
eff the MPAA...an excellent movie to check out is the documentary "This Film Has Not Yet Been Rated." takes a fun yet serious look at a company that is more about self-preservation then it is about "protecting" children or those with an otherwise immature sensibility.
Evil Alien; I like your style, and you've seen two of my favorite movies - Evil Aliens and This Film Is Not Yet Rated. However, it's "Fuck the MPAA", "Fuck Them In Their Self- Righteous, Hypocritical, Overpaid (even if they work for free) Asses". That's how you stick it to the man. :)
Honestly I don't care about Repo. I used to really be used to be in the film by the trailer and the director. Now Lionsgate dumped this and will probably premiere in second run theaters. AGAIN. Lionsgate can release Disaster movie yet not Repo. Screw Lionsgate.
Splinter sounds pretty good and Repo looks pretty good i guess as well even though its most likely not gonna come to our theater ill rent it when it comes out lol. But Splinter looks good. I dont care about Twilight. It would be better if they had some awesome stars in it.
Repo looks pretty good; I'm looking forward to seeing it.
And I'm obviously looking forward to Twilight...Woooh, thank god it's not PG (as if it could be anyway; the fourth movie will probably be rated R).
