BEST LINE
“Hulk Smash!” (The Hulk); “The Incredible Hulk”
“I believe whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stranger” (The Joker); “The Dark Knight”
“I am Iron Man!” (Tony Stark); “Iron Man”
“I’m not a baby…I’m a tumor” (The Tumor); “Hellboy II: The Golden Army”
“I will now make this pencil disappear” (The Joker); “The Dark Knight”
“Why so serious?” (The Joker); “The Dark Knight”
Dude, Dark Knight will sweep this. The disappearing pencil was friggin sweet. Bottom line, it will be all Dark Knight. I hope 30 Days Of Night will pick up an award though. I did like that flick.
Oh look another awards show made of FAIL. Of course the overrated Dark Knight is going to win all of it's nominations. And seeing Rob Zombie's craptastic remake of Halloween on the list makes me mad.
The Dark Knight, Cloverfeild, Saw IV, and Funny Games were the ones I picked for their respective awards. But in reality The Dark Knight, Joker specifically, will win every category. Though it pretty much deserves it.
Yeah i get the feeling they could just have the Dark Knight cast and crew stand on stage for the entire show and pick up the awards as they call em out. Its not like theres a whole lot else to choose from.
this should just be called "THE DARK KNIGHT AWARDS SHOW" (and i say that with annoyance and NOT reverence). i have no intention of watching it this year since it's obvious that DK will (unfortunately) sweep EVERY catagory it's nominated for. oh well, there's always next year.
Why is there so much fucking Dark knight??!! Don't get me wrong, the movie's gret and all, but there's no chance that Cloverfield, or Saw to win anything. GAY.
Jeez, for a genre awards show, the Oscars is packing more suspense than that.....
The original point to the Scream Awards was to spotlight & honor the kinds of films that would otherwise receive no such recognition from the likes of the Academy. Hypocritical irony.
Oh well, there's always Fangoria's Chainsaw Awards.....
Just watch the spanish masterpiece [REC] and realize how lame almost all of the horror films nominated truely are. Was "Frontiers" released last year? I can't speak for the other categories since I am a horror film snobbish asshole and really could care less about comic book "superheros." Saw being even acknowledged is farcical. The really sad thing is I will be watching and rooting for Anna Friel(I like Pushing Daisies - who knows why?).
Yeah, milkman, with Saw IV being nominated, I mean...why acknowledge a horror franchise that, despite its flaws, keeps trying and continues its story rather than relying SOLELY (they still have the endings, though) on formula? Shouldn't we just reward sequels that don't even bother and just rehash the EXACT same thing? Like Halloween 4-6 and 8 or other such series? Things like that? I mean, they're already giving an award for best remake. So why praise a horror franchise that hasn't resorted to "the easy way out" yet?
wait a minute..Jena Malone gets nominated for "The Ruins" and Laura Ramsey doesn't? Don't get me wrong, Jena was great but Laura blew the entire cast out of the water. Not too shabby for a girl that got her start in "The Real Cancun"
i honestly dont understand how you could possibly not like the dark knight, that movie was absolutly flawless, i mean it pretty much kicks the ass of every other movie nominated, although dont get me wrong some of the other movies are damn good but they suck compared to DK which is pretty much the definition of masterpiece.......

Is this really supposed to be a horror awards show? Iron Man was f*cking awesome but come on . . And a category for best remake. What an embarrassing statement on the state of the genre. Thanks remake fans.
Sushi Zombie, i agree w/ you %1000. with DK in almost EVERY catagory, it isn't going to give other movies, any chance of winning. why even bother watching. we know what movie's going to win. and to GIBB424, i agree w/ you. LAURA RAMSEY most definitely was absolutely amazing in THE RUINS. she (no offense to Jena) SHOULD'VE been the cast member nominated.
Why is Halloween thier? It came out in 2007. The Dark knight will win almost every award because of Heath Ledger. I am one of the few that didn't see it yet but I compare this scenario to The Crow. Brandon Lee died making the Crow and everyone can almost sense that his is Eric Draven because what happened. And Heath didn't die during production but the feeling remains the same. Something about knowing that this was thier last preformance leaps out and sadly enough also like Brandon from what I hear Heath's last preformance was his best.
I love THE HOLY SHIT! SCENE OF THE YEAR category. I hope Wanted wins some awards I love that movie it was awesome.
