Inside you can check out the trailer and the cities that will play the film that stars THE DEVIL'S REJECTS co-stars Bill Moseley, Leslie Easterbrook and Lew Temple.
In rural Alabama, two couples find themselves in a fight for survival. Running from a maniac (The Tin Man) bent on killing them, they flee deep into the woods and seek refuge in a house. They soon realize the killer has purposely lured them to this house and that they are now trapped. As they huddle around an old fireplace, a tin can falls through the chimney. Scrawled on its side is a message from the killer, establishing his House Rules. The rules call for their deaths unless they kill at least one of the four. They have less than 12 hours to find a way to survive. At sunrise the game is over and everyone dies if the killer's demands aren't met. What they quickly learn is that the only way out... is in. But going further into this house--where unknown challenges await them--is equally deadly.

Ted Dekker is my favorite author. I read House in book form and thought it was disappointing, though the movie is said to follow a much, much different path than then book. And not as much as rip-off of Saw. I'm very glad that this site is posting this. This is honestly something different from the typical crap we've seen this year, like Mirrors and The Happening, and I really hope people go see this.
Ted Dekker is easily the most original author I have ever read. If any of you like reading, I seriously suggest you check out Ted Dekker's other book "Showdown". He actually plans to make Showdown into a movie if this movie is successful enough to allow him to have the budget to do so. Please support this movie, if you can, if you want original horror.
I read the book a couple of years ago, and it was ... interesting. I'm not so sure that it was disappointing because I haven't read his other works, but the story was pretty unique and different. I can't wait for the movie! Too bad it won't be playing in Boston... looks like I'll also have to wait for the DVD.
Did anybody else find it a funny coincidence that, while this movie has not plot relations to the 1986 horror film of the same name, the writer's named Ted Dekker, while the writer of the 1986 movie was named Fred Dekker. What really are the odds that two Dekkers with rhyming first names would write a horror story and title it "House"? ^_^
I knew about it for a while. Fred Dekker wrote the original story to House, as well as wrote The Monster Squad and Night of the Creeps. The names and everything ARE just coincidence, but it's one HELL of a coincidence!! It's one of those rare moments in history that something bizarre occurs, and you can't help but raise an eyebrow at the discovery!
Magna, I'm so happy I learned that from you! I raised both eyebrows. Thanks!
