This morning writer-director Darren Lynn Bousman updated his official blog with details on the newly updated official website for his upcoming sci-fi horror musical Repo! The Genetic Opera. He also chats about his new (old school) NES and shares with us a quick story about his lunch with William Forsyth. You can read all about it by clicking the link above. In addition, the first ever REPO! newsletter was sent out this evening and can be found by reading beyond the break. REPO! hits limited theaters November 7th, with the soundtrack arriving in stores on September 30th.

There sure has been a ton of hype about this film. It better be fucking good.

This movie is GARBAGE!!!!!!! HAs anyone watched the clips and or trailer? God awful no part of this looks good. Daren must have some dirt on hollywood execs to keep getting work the guy had one kinda decent movie with saw 3. Other than that the guy can suck an ass. Sorry but this guy is destroying horror as we know it.

Irish Mic, have you seen this movie to call it "GARBAGE"? Seriously, people need to pull their heads out of their asses and stop shittin' on something they haven't seen. Saying it looks terrible is one thing, but calling it a POS when you haven't watched it yet is really retarded. And all the "hype" this movie is getting is not because it's good (even though 95% of audiences are coming back with an extremely positive opinion on the movie), but because it's something so original and fresh in horror these days. No matter how campy "Mark It Up" was, how cheesy it was.. the new making-of video over at the website for the song "LEGAL ASSASSIN" just owned everybody who shat on "Mark It Up". The song sounds awesome, the video looks amazing, and the making-of was pretty cool. REPO! ARMY FOR LIFE!

Horror luva I dont need to see it to tell you its gonna be shit. The studio is dumping it that's a dead give away that its not good and the people that have seen it and are giving it good reviews are the tool boxes that think Daren is a good director. You can have your opinion on this movie, so can I but dont sit here and try to convince me that shit dont stink. The mass amount of people that are on here that were pumped about this movie, why I dont know, have even said after watching some of the clips that its gonna suck ass. Also not an original film a musical horror film is your grounds for original? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

You obviously have no fucking idea on what you are talking about: a musical horror film. Yupp, great way to sum up a whole movie's summary ;) Dumping it into limited release does not mean the movie is gunna be shitty, Hatchet was limited and it was so much better than a lot of horror films I've seen in the past few years. This film is not simply marketable, plus all the confusion going on over at Lionsgate... do some research before posting shit here. Have your opinion on what the movie will be like, I don't give a fuck, just know that calling it "garbage" before seeing it is really retarded, like I said. OH! Let's not even mention that most people who have seen this movie were such big Bousman fans, because you SOOO need to be one to watch this and like it. LMFAO.

Quite honestly, I can't wait for this movie to come out. So what if it's a musical? It's an original idea, not some manufactured sequel being used to make money when the original movie should have been enough. We've seen enough of Hollywood's attempts to re-make the classics and to keep characters going when they clearly needed to be killed off for good movies ago. Personally, I feel that Hollywood needs something new - even if it's viewed as campy or weird. A lot of people thought Saw was going to be garbage too when it first came out. I think this deserves a chance.

Irish Mic, are you aware that it's not just supposed to be a straight up horror movie? It's supposed to be somewhat campy and ridiculous. If that's not you're thing, that's fine. Don't watch it. But based on what it's supposed to be, it is probably going to be a great, fun movie.

Nuts.

Ok right I get campy and everything its "suppose" to be but bottom line its not. Plus Hatchet was garbage that movie sucked so much ass it was insane. Also have done my research on the film and I have seen plenty of it not the whole pile of crap but at least half of it. All im saying to you Daren fans who think hes so cool is he sucks ass everything he touches is garbage but for someone who liked Hatchet it's pointless to even try telling you anything cause your gonna like shit and thats fine you can go on lovin the hell out of shit movies that have no substance at all. Also my little horror luva friend its a fact that when a movie gets dumped into limited release by a studio its because its shit. Especially after it was suppose to go wide release. So I know plenty of what I am talking about on this because oh wait yeah I work in the industry you hack.

For someone whose done their research you can't even spell Darren's name right. Now go make the director another cup of coffee.

Iris Mic, tsc tsc tsc. This movie is supposed to be a crazy, sci-fi, campy, ridiculous, dark humor, drama, rock opera. Now if the name Darren Bousman is insulting to you, don't watch the fucking movie! I don't really care about him, I enjoyed the Saw movies, enjoyed Hatchet, and probably will enjoy REPO! You work in the industry? It looks more like you're a little angry teenager that's gunna hate on every Bousman project... tsc tsc tsc [2]. You should also learn how to lose that prejudice you have against low-budget limited films... they may surprise you.

Uwe Boll also works in the industry, Irish Mic, but that doesn't mean he knows good films when he sees them. Also, just so you know, I absolutely hated the first Saw movie so I haven't seen the sequels, therefore I am not a Repo fan because of Darren Bousman.
